Abstract: Device for controlling the tension in the yarn unwinding from a yarn carrying body, a first shaped body being fast with the latter and having a continuous series of elongated flexible hairs inwardly projecting from its outer edge, the free end of said hairs being adjacent the free edge of an annular projection extending axially of the yarn carrying body.The device also comprises a second shaped body, coaxial with the first mentioned shaped body, having an annular projection extending therefrom, the free edge of this projection contacting said hairs at an intermediate location of the length thereof.

Abstract: Device for controlling the tension of yarn unwinding from a yarn supplying apparatus to using machines. The device comprises two discs facing each other and having annular recesses and projections, with the projections on one disc extending between the recesses on the other disc. One of the discs is applied on the apparatus, while the other disc is carried by the bracket and has an axial hole passing therethrough, through which hole the yarn exits, the tension of which has been controlled.

Abstract: An apparatus for storing and feeding yarn to yarn using machines, comprising a base plate carrying a freely rotatable shaft which supports a drum through ball bearings and a dispensing arm which distributes turns of yarn upon the drum. Two coaxial rolling bearings surround the shaft one being supported by the base plate and the other by the drum and the bearings are connected to one another by a rigid body having a passage through which the arm passes, thus preventing rotation of the drum with respect to the base plate.

Abstract: Apparatus for storing yarn drawn off from a spool or cop and feeding such yarn with a controlled tension to a textile machine. The apparatus comprises a drum on which a rotating arm distributes yarn windings that are displaced from one to the other end of the drum by a device including groups of swinging blades alternatively projecting and upwardly moving through slits in the drum. These blades keep the yarn windings separated from one another during translation on the drum, each of the windings being arranged between two successive blades in each group.

Abstract: Apparatus for storing yarn drawn off from a spool and feeding it with a controlled tension to a yarn using machine. The apparatus comprises a drum having an axial central hole and a rotating arm drawing the yarn off from the spool and winding it up as windings on the drum, from which the yarn is then drawn off through the central hole. The displacement of the yarn windings along the drum surface is carried out by swinging blades alternatively projecting and moving upwardly through grooves provided on the drum. These blades keep the yarn windings separated from one another during translation on the drum, each of the windings being arranged between two successive blades. A bell is located at the top of the drum and brakes the balloon built up by the yarn drawn off from the drum, while flexible fingers act upon the drawn off yarn, controlling the tension thereof.

Abstract: Device for controlling the balloon and tension in the thread from a thread storing and distributing apparatus to textile machines. Such a device comprises a bell superimposed to the storing apparatus and supported thereon by flexible fingers which are deflected by the thread unwinding from the apparatus.
