Abstract: The active life of a fungicidal metal hydrochlorite is greatly enhanced by adding only small amounts of active fungicidal compounds selected from the group consisting of lithium hydrochlorite and iodopropynyl butyl carbamate.

Abstract: The fungi-preventative-over-time characteristic of a fungicidal metal hydrochlorite, as distinguished from the fungi-removal characteristic thereof, is greatly enhanced by adding thereto only small amounts of active fungicidal compounds selected from the group consisting of lithium hydrochlorite and iodopropynyl butyl carbamate.

Abstract: A device for dispensing liquid from the container to a toilet bowl is provided. The device is used with a liquid container having a normally sealed port. It includes a housing upon which the container is mounted, breaking the seal. The housing has a dispensing surface upon which liquid from the container is deposited and over which at least a portion of the flushed water stream passes. A conduit is provided for conducting liquid from the container to the liquid dispensing surface. The inlet end portion of the conduit has primary liquid entrance means, in the form of an open end, and secondary liquid entrance means, in the form of one or more openings in the conduit wall. The inlet end of the conduit extends through the container port with the open end of the conduit and the openings in the conduit wall both situated within the container.

Abstract: A composition for deodorizing and refreshing surfaces such as carpets, upholstery, furniture etc. The composition disclosed is a highly friable foam that rapidly evaporates upon contact with the surface to be refreshed. Therefore, the composition does not require removal by vacuuming after application to the surface. A method for using the composition to deodorize and refresh a surface is also disclosed.

The pouches open in concert to allow simultaneous dispensing of the solids. In operation, the water in the toilet cistern and bowl is cleaned both by the detergent and the bleaching agent, and the fragrance or dye is not affected by the bleaching agent.

Abstract: A stable mildly acidic aqueous polishing cleanser for removing stains from hard surfaces comprising by weight from about 8 to 20% of a polishing agent having an average particle size of about 2 to 10 microns and a particle size distribution from about 1 to 40 microns, from about 1 to 5% of a nonionic surfactant, from about 1 to 2.25% of a thickening agent comprising smectite clay and xanthan gum in a ratio of about 2:1 respectively, from about 1.25 to 6.25% of an oxalate salt selected from ammonium bioxalate or a mixture of ammonium bioxalate and ammonium oxalate, and from about 68 to 89% of water, said cleanser having a pH of about 3.0 to 4.5. Preparation of the cleanser and its properties are given.
