  • Patent number: 6435455
Abstract: A decompression panel assembly (12) for use in an aircraft separation structure (14). The panel assembly includes a support pan (26) having an opening (28), a bull nose (64) extending outwardly from the support pan at the opening's edge, and a recess (62) surrounding the bull nose. An inner seal (70) is sized and located within the recess (62). A retaining ring (22) is provided and includes a number of fingers (84) formed from spaced-apart slits (86) extending into the retaining ring (22) from the ring's inner edge. The assembly (12) further includes a pressure relief panel (24) shaped similar to the support pan opening shape, though sized slightly larger. The pressure relief panel (24) is held between the support pan bull nose (64) and the retaining ring (22) during non-decompression use. A number of index pins (94) interconnect between the retaining ring and the support pan. A grill (30) is attached to the support pan to protect the pressure relief panel.

  • Patent number: 5899081
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a temperature regulation system for providing heating and cooling for an interior of a truck. The temperature regulation system may be operated for an extended period of time without relying on the truck's engine or start battery for power. Therefore, the apparatus is ideal for heating and cooling a sleeping compartment within the truck while the engine is not running. The temperature regulation system comprises a climate control unit having a power control board, a control terminal having operator adjustable controls, a power inverter having a direct current input and an alternating current output, and a secondary battery.

  • Patent number: 4291867
Abstract: The invention is a work holding system for adjustably receiving and holding printed circuit boards for automatic machine component insertion. It includes a frame and a plurality of mutually cooperative adjustable board holders. The frame is U-shaped and is made up of framing members each having a linear scale affixed thereto. An adjustably positionable framing member extends across the U and is slidable along the opposed framing members toward and away from the base framing member forming the bottom of the U. Means are provided for indexing, locking the adjustably positionable member to the frame in any desired position. A linear scale is also carried by the adjustably positionable member and all scales have a common datum. The frame carries indexing means to index it to the machine which inserts components. A number of adjustable board holders are slidably carried by the base framing member and the adjustably positionable framing member to receive circuit boards therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4229778
Abstract: The invention comprises a universal circuit board holding apparatus having a frame with side, front and rear rails. Adjustably positionable rails extend across the frame between the side rails and they are movable in the direction of the front and rear rails. Releasable clamping means engage the side rails and the adjustably positionable rails, permitting movement of the adjustably positionable rails along the side rails when released and for automatically locking the adjustably positionable rails to the side rails when clamping. Circuit board supports are carried by the adjustable rails and either or both of the rear and front rails. Further releasable clamps positionably fix the circuit board supports to the rails while permitting movement therealong upon release to accommodate various sized boards.

  • Patent number: 4010710
Abstract: A metal coating is deposited upon the surface of a number of electronic circuit device wafers in an evacuated chamber by means of tooling that rotates the wafers about three different axes. A primary three-armed spider rotates about a primary axis and carries on each of its arms a four-armed secondary spider holding a wafer on each of its arms. Four of such primary spiders together with the secondary spiders mounted thereon are carried respectively by four upright standards that rotate in unison about a vertical axis of a cloud of metal vapor filling the chamber. Rotation of the standards causes rotation of the primary spiders relative to the standards and also rotation of each secondary spider relative to its primary spider. The arrangement causes each wafer to sweep up and down along outer portions of the metal vapor cloud as it rotates about the vertical axis of the cloud and also causes each wafer to rotate about its own axis several times for each up and down sweep.
