  • Publication number: 20080202921
Abstract: A water separation apparatus is provided to separate hydrogen and oxygen from water that includes a reaction chamber containing a plurality of spaced apart conductive plates, a positive electrical terminal electrically connected to one of the conductive plates, and a negative electrical terminal electrically connected to another of the conductive plates. A mixture of water and a catalyst is placed in the chamber and in contact with the plates. A non-conductive adjuster plate is provided to separate the chamber into a front chamber and a rear chamber, and may include at least one fluid passageway. A portion of the plates are disposed in the front chamber and a portion of the plates are disposed in the rear chamber. The adjuster plate may include a moveable member adapted to adjust the cross-sectional area of fluid passageway and thus the cross-sectional area of fluid communication between the front and rear chambers.

  • Publication number: 20080135645
Abstract: A nozzle has a cylindrical conduit section with a power fluid inlet, an outlet and a pumped fluid inlet at a location between the power fluid inlet and the outlet; a straightening vane plate sealed across the power fluid inlet including a plurality of straightening vanes situated around a pass thru conduit; a wing support and tube attached to the straightening vane plate that provides a passageway for the power fluid pass thru conduit and extends across the pumped fluid inlet; and a circular wing structure attached to an end of the wing support and tube, wherein the circular wing structure has a nosed shaped profile. The nosed shaped profile has a first face having an outer diameter larger than the wing support and tube and a rounded portion with a slope that decreases to almost parallel to the walls of the cylindrical section. The circular wing structure then has a tapering portion that tapers down again to a diameter similar to the wing support and tube.

  • Patent number: 5454696
Abstract: A jet pump includes a power fluid inlet, a pumped fluid inlet having a conduit therein, a fluid outlet and a downstream structure of generally frustoconical shape having a small end adjacent the pumped fluid inlet conduit, a large end downstream of the small end and a central passage. In several embodiments, the downstream structure is a series of washer like rings of increasing size. In other embodiments, the downstream structure is a solid body. Several embodiments include an upstream structure having a central power fluid inlet conduit sealed relative to the pump housing having a disc thereon downstream of the pumped fluid inlet. The disc provides a series of passages in the form of notches in the disc periphery or openings through the disc body.
