  • Patent number: 5186486
Abstract: A reciprocable rod link is mounted in the housing and connected to a stabilizer bar. A gear rack is provided on an outer surface of the rod link. A drive gear is rotatably mounted in the housing and meshed with the gear rack. A controller operates a drive unit to vary the resistance of the drive gear, and thus the direction and length of travel of the rod link.

  • Patent number: 5112031
Abstract: A mounting bushing block for a stabilizer bar includes a central body having a pair of flexible projecting legs. A semicircular seat is provided in the body for receiving a tubular stabilizer bar. A second bushing block formed identical to the first bushing block includes a semicircular seat for receiving the stabilizer bar and indentations for receiving the legs of the first bushing blocks. The bushing blocks are snapped together with respect to one another and then mounted on the stabilizer bar to provide a mounting assembly for snap-on connection to a chassis.

  • Patent number: 5064216
Abstract: An end link assembly includes an elongated link terminating in a barrel portion at one end and a ring portion at the other end. An elastomeric bushing having a pair of flexible annular walls projecting outwardly from an outer surface is mounted at the ring portion of the link. A stabilizer bar is press fitted into the bushing. The barrel portion is mounted to the control arm by a fastener. During operation, the bushing provides a working angle large enough to accommodate the movement between the stabilizer bar and the link.
