    Abstract: A liquid containing and dispensing package comprising a hollow plastic container having a neck, a fitment interengaging the neck and closure. The fitment interengages the neck and has a first peripheral portion extending axially and having a portion defining a spout having a pouring lip extending axially inwardly of the end of the neck, and a closure comprising a top wall and a first peripheral wall extending from the top wall axially inwardly. The closure includes a radial portion extending from the peripheral wall and sealingly engaging an annular area of the fitment. The closure defines a dispensing cup and includes a second outer peripheral wall spaced from the first peripheral wall which has internal threads engaging external threads on the neck of the container.

    Abstract: A tamper indicating hermetically sealed package comprising a container having a neck with an opening and a closure. The container includes a first annular bead at the upper end adjacent the opening and a second annular bead spaced axially from the first annular bead and having a greater diameter than the first bead. The closure is made of plastic and comprises a base wall and a peripheral skirt. The base wall includes an annular bead on the internal surface thereof and the peripheral skirt includes an interrupted annular bead spaced axially from the base wall. A sealing gasket is cast in situ in the channel defined by the annular bead on the base wall and the peripheral skirt and extends to the interrupted annular bead on the skirt. A tamper indicating band is connected along a weakened line to the peripheral skirt and includes an interrupted annular bead that is adapted to engage the second bead on the container.

    Abstract: A tamperproof package comprising a container having a neck with external threads formed thereon and a plastic closure comprising a top panel and an integral depending annular skirt having integral internal threads formed thereon complementary to the threads on the neck of the container. The container has an annular locking bead positioned axially below the threads. The skirt has a pilfer ring at the lower end thereof connected to the upper portion of the skirt by a plurality of circumferentially spaced integral bridge portions that are located below the threads when the closure is on the container. The ring has a radially inwardly extending annular rib engaging beneath the locking bead of the container when the closure is on the container.
