Abstract: A stud poker game in which a partial hand of cards are dealt as the player's hand. The player is then permitted to choose one of the undealt cards to be added to the player's hand. The remaining cards needed to complete the player's final hand are dealt. If the player has achieved a winning card combination on his final hand, the player receives an award. The award is based on the poker hand ranking of the final player's hand and the amount wagered by the player.

Abstract: The game involves playing video poker in a contest between a player and an opponent. The player makes a wager to be eligible to play the game and the player plays an initial hand of video poker against an opponent who plays the same initial hand of video poker. If the player beats the opponent, the player wins an award. If the opponent beats the player, the player loses. If the player and the opponent tie, then any amount in the pot carries over to the next round, a new wager is made by the player to play the next round and the player and the opponent play another hand of video poker. This continues until either the player or the opponent win a round outright. Each of the player and the opponent start with the same initial cards on each hand that is played in any particular round.

Abstract: A conventional deck of fifty-two playing cards is modified by the addition of at least one extra card which can be of any of the conventional card ranks, which can be of a fifth suit or a duplicate of one of the conventional cards and which is preferably an Ace. This is additional card can also be of any rank of the conventional cards, but can having a suit designation of all of the suits, and is preferably an Ace of all of the suits. This modified deck of playing cards is used to play video poker.

Abstract: A player makes a wager which is allocated among a plurality of stud poker hands to be played by the player. One of the wagers is allocated to a full hand of cards and the other wagers are allocated among poker hands that are comprised of various subsets of the full hand. The player is then dealt the full hand of cards. The player wins or loses depending on the stud poker hand ranking of the full hand. The various subsets of hands are then analyzed to determine whether there are any winning hand combinations among the subset of hands. Awards for winning hand combinations are 1l made to the player based on the poker hand ranking of each subset hand and the full hand according to a pay table and the amount wagered by the player on each subset hand and the full hand.

Abstract: A modified method for playing Twenty-One involves each player making two wagers—a first wager to play the conventional Twenty-One game and second wager to play a SKINS game feature in which the accumulated total of the second wagers (less any rake to the gaming establishment) is awarded to the player having the highest numerical count on the first two cards without exceeding a numerical count of 21. In the event two players tie with the same numerical count on the first two cards, the SKINS wagers carry over to the next round of play. This carry over feature continues until a single player has the highest numerical count on the first two cards without exceeding a numerical count of 21, in which case that player wins the accumulated SKINS pot.

Abstract: A player makes a wager and is dealt a five card poker hand. The player then discards and draws replacement cards. The player is paid for a winning poker hand and only the cards that consist of the winning card combination are removed from the hand. Replacement cards are dealt into the poker hand for the removed cards. The player is again paid for a winning poker hand if one has been achieved and again the cards that consist of the winning card combination are removed from the hand. Replacement cards are again dealt into the poker hand for the removed cards. This continues until there is no longer a winning poker hand.

Abstract: A video poker machine configured to allow a player to play a card game is provided. The video poker machine includes at least one display device, at least one input device, and at least one computer configured to display at least a first hand and a second hand of at least five cards all face up, each hand including the same five cards. A player can be provided an option to play a hand by selecting none, one or more than one of the face up cards from the first hand and the second hand and any additional hands as cards to be held. Each of the cards not selected to be held are discarded from each hand and replaced with a face up card. The player can be provided a pre-established amount based on the amount of a wager made on the hand if the resulting cards of the hand comprise a predetermined poker hand ranking.

Abstract: A video poker machine is provided which includes at least one display device, at least one input device and at least one computer. The computer is configured with the display device and the input device to deal a first hand of at least five cards, all face up, and to cause a selection of none, one or more of the face up cards from the first hand as cards to be held. The cards selected to be held from the first hand are duplicated into a second hand. The face up cards not selected to be held are discarded from the first hand. Each of the discarded cards are replaced with a face up card, and the second hand is completed to have at least five cards by dealing additional face up cards. The computer configured with the display device and the input device further determines the poker hand ranking of the resulting cards of the first hand and the second hand.

Abstract: If a wager is made on at least one hand of cards, at least five cards are selected from at least one deck of cards, all displayed face up. The deck of cards includes a plurality of cards each having a rank and a suit. At least two of the ranks are different and at least two of the suits are different. Zero, one or a plurality of the cards are selected from the first hand as cards to be held. If a second wager is made on a second hand, a card having the same rank as the card selected to be held from the first hand is displayed in the second hand for each card selected to be held from the first hand. The first and second hands can be completed to include at least five face up cards. Any awards for any determined winning combinations of cards of the completed first or second hands can be displayed.

Abstract: The method and apparatus allows the players to play a live casino game such as poker or Twenty-One at a standard gaming table and also allows the players to make one or more wagers on a different game or an extension of the live table game. This different game or extension game takes place on a video screen display that allows the players to make one or more additional bets and play a different game or an extension game on the screen video display. Additional bets may be made by the player using casino chips or player credits on the video display using a button panel by either the player or the dealer. The button panel could also be used by the player or the dealer to input any decisions made by the player regarding the video aspect of the game.

The values are directly related to the amount wagered by the player. Abstract: A player makes a wager and is dealt a plurality of five card stud poker hands. The player is paid for any winning poker hand that is achieved in each of the plurality of stud poker hands. In each hand, the cards that consist of the winning card combination are removed. If a hand has no winning poker hand combination, the hand simply goes dead and is no longer played. Replacement cards are displayed into each of the remaining poker hands for the removed cards. The player is again paid for a winning poker hands achieved and again the cards that consist of the winning card combination are removed from the hands. Replacement cards are again displayed into the poker hands for the removed cards. This continues until there is no longer a winning poker hand combination in any of the multiple stud poker hands.

Abstract: A table top machine of box-like construction has a cutting mechanism in its interior and an entry bore that receives a microhematocrit tube. In a first embodiment, the end of a tube inserted into the machine closes a switch that activates the cutting mechanism so that tubes are always cut in the same place, without regard to the ratio of linear space in the tube occupied by red blood cells, clotted blood cells and clear plasma or serum. In a second embodiment, a photoelectric cell positioned at the inner end of the entry bore triggers the cutting mechanism when the end of the tube filled with red or clotted blood cells has passed the eye. Thus, tubes are cut at differing positions along the extent of the tube, depending upon how much each tube is filled with red blood cells or clotted blood cells and how much is filled with clear plasma or serum.
