    Abstract: An anchor system for stabilizing a vehicle during a pulling operation, such as with a winch or a come-along, has a wheel or track stop with a tether that attaches to a frame member, such as a bumper, of the pulling vehicle. The wheel or track of the vehicle rides over the stop, past center, and is prevented from further rolling by the tether. The forces on the vehicle are concentrated on a front edge of the stop, effectively anchoring the vehicle, which tends to rotate about the front edge as a fulcrum.
