Publication number: 20220056718Abstract: A thermal regulation apparatus for pool water is an apparatus that is used to regulate the overall temperature of a pool in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The apparatus may include a water-jet adapter, a tee tubing connector, a valved spout, a valved drain, and an extension pipe. The water-jet adapter enables the apparatus to be connected to a water return jet and serves as the main water inlet of the apparatus. The tee tubing connector distributes the water inflow from the water-jet adapter to the valved drain and the extension pipe. The extension pipe guides the water inflow towards the valved spout. The valved spout serves as the main outlet for the apparatus and enables the cooling of the water outflow that is diffused back into the pool. The valved drain serves as a secondary outlet for the apparatus and helps control the water flow through the apparatus.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2021Publication date: February 24, 2022Inventor: Ernest Russell Murray

Publication number: 20210181069Abstract: A material sampling system for obtaining a plurality of substantially similar samples of granular material, such as grain or other crop material, from a load of granular material is provided. The system can include a sample extractor for obtaining a sample portion of granular material, a sample divider operative to divide the sample portion of granular material into a plurality of smaller samples of granular material in a plurality of sample containers and a sample transfer conduit for transferring the sample of granular material from the sample extractor to the sample divider. The sample portions can be taken at regular sample time intervals throughout the entire load of granular material to get an accurate representation of the granular material and information about the samples in the sample containers can be obtained by the system while it is obtaining the samples and this information stored for later use and display.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2021Publication date: June 17, 2021Applicant: Intelliconn Communications SolutionsInventors: Kenneth Ernest Russell Jackson, Dean Friesen, Steven Peter Chivilo, Christopher David Hammel

Patent number: 10985608Abstract: A back-up power control system for an AC-powered component includes a bypass starter coupled to an AC bus, and a variable frequency drive (VFD) coupled to a DC bus. The VFD is selectively operable in each of (i) an active mode, such that said VFD converts DC power provided by the DC bus into a selectable frequency AC power signal, and (ii) a stand-by low-power mode. The system also includes a controller operatively coupled to the bypass starter and the VFD and programmed to (a) while the AC bus is in a normal operating condition, command the VFD to the low-power mode and operatively couple the bypass starter to the AC-powered component, and (b) while the AC bus is in an outage condition, command the VFD to the active mode and operatively couple the VFD to the AC-powered component.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2016Date of Patent: April 20, 2021Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventor: Ernest Russell Murray

Patent number: 7765309Abstract: A wireless provisioning device (WPD) is a computer data traffic management system capable of routing TCP/IP traffic using unlicensed spectrum equipment. This WPR is to be strategically placed in logical segment regions within a wireless network to facilitate data traffic management. This device acts to provide connectivity between wireless backbone access points. The device may also be located within customer local area network (LAN) while providing connectivity to a wide area network (WAN). The wireless device has seven total wireless segments. The wireless device is capable of filtering IP addresses, spam, pornographic content, steganographic decryption, controlling firewall and/or routing and/or bridging. The increases effective throughput of TCP/IP traffic over the WAN or LAN while providing for secure management and greater connectivity.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2005Date of Patent: July 27, 2010Assignee: Optimum Path LLCInventors: Anthony C Spearman, Ernest Russell Washburn

Patent number: 6843119Abstract: For collecting data from a water well, down-hole sensors are housed in modules. The modules are arranged to be screwed together in-line to form a vertical string. Mechanically, the modules are secured to each other only by the screw connection. Data is transmitted to the surface on a 2-wire cable, there being no other electrical connection between the modules and the surface. The modules are connected in multi-drop configuration to the 2-wire cable. Data is transmitted using time-division multiplexing.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2002Date of Patent: January 18, 2005Assignee: Solinst Canada LimitedInventors: Ronald Ernest Russell Patey, Douglas James Belshaw

Patent number: 6290047Abstract: A parking pawl assembly 10 is provided for use in combination with a vehicle of the type including a transmission assembly 12 having an output shaft 14, a park gear 16, and a shifter or shifting assembly 18, which is operatively and selectively used to actuate a conventional park rod 20 in a known and conventional manner. The parking pawl assembly 10 includes a selectively and pivotally movable pawl member 22, a generally cylindrical hub member 24, which is fixedly coupled to park gear 16, a cam assembly 26, which is fixedly coupled to pawl member 22 and which abuttingly engages hub member 24, and a return spring 28 which is operatively coupled to cam assembly 26. Cam assembly 26 ensures that pawl member 22 consistently engages park gear 16 at a relatively constant speed, and further ensures that a spring 42 within park rod 20 is compressed each time the transmission 12 is shifted into “park”.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2000Date of Patent: September 18, 2001Assignee: Ford Global Tech., Inc.Inventors: David William Adamczyk, John D.
