  • Patent number: 7086320
Abstract: A brake booster, in particular for motor vehicles, having a control valve for controlling the boosting force generated by the brake booster. The control valve comprises a control valve housing, an input element, an output element and a thrust piece, which is disposed between the input element and the output element and acts upon the output element. The thrust piece in dependence upon a relative movement between the thrust piece and the control valve housing caused by the input element is supported releasably against the control valve housing by means of a coupling element biased by a spring. The spring and the coupling element are designed as an integral coupling component, which is fastened to the control valve housing.

  • Patent number: 6105452
Abstract: A locking assembly for a selector lever of an automatic gearbox. A the locking device acts upon a transmission member situated between the selector lever and the automatic gearbox. The selector lever is connected in a first gear-shift gate to the transmission member, and the locking device then acts upon the transmission member and secures it in its current position when the selector lever has left the first gear-shift gate and is no longer connected to the transmission member. In addition, a longitudinal locking assembly, which holds the selector lever in pre-set positions during its longitudinal movement in the first gear shift gate, is provided for the selector lever.

  • Patent number: 5887487
Abstract: A fastening device secures an actuating cable in a U-shaped opening in a holder into which the fastening device can be inserted radially, wherein the arms of the opening and the attachment part comprise catch members for fixing the attachment part radially, the catch members engaging one behind the other in the inserted state. In order to be able to detach the fastening device again, the catch members are formed in such a way that they project beyond the holder in the axial direction. The projections formed in this way can then be gripped and the locking can be released by pressing the projections together. In order to improve the manipulation both during assembly and during dismantling, it is proposed to design the handle on the catch member in such a way that one respective lug is formed integrally on each of the catch members.

  • Patent number: 5875684
Abstract: A selector lever guide assembly for a gearbox is provided, in which the selector lever is movable in two gear-shift gates which are parallel to each other and which are connected by a transverse gate. In order to guide the selector lever in such a way as to ensure a reliable positioning of the selector lever on leaving the first gear-shift gate and on re-entering the first gear-shift gate, a guide for the selector lever with the aid of a structural member is arranged immediately adjacent to the selector lever. This structural member has a face which extends in a plane parallel to the plane of movement of the selector lever. A guide member provided directly on the selector lever engages over the structural member and rests against the side of the face remote from the selector lever, so that the selector lever is guided in the plane of movement thereof.

  • Patent number: 5870929
Abstract: A gear-shift device includes a pivotably mounted selector lever for actuation by the driver, a pivotably mounted actuating lever linked to the selector lever and a transmission member articulated to the actuating lever and which in use acts upon an automatic gear box transmission. The selector lever is pivotably mounted at a first pivot axis through a shift device housing so as to be movable in first and second gear shift gates connected by transverse gate. The actuating lever is supported at the housing for pivotal movement about a second pivot axis spaced from the first pivot axis. A disengageable coupling connects the actuating lever and the selector lever when the selector lever is in the first shifting gate and disconnects the selector lever and actuating lever when the selector lever is moved to the second shifting gate.

  • Patent number: 5868038
Abstract: An adjustable actuator cable assembly has cable support member supported in an outer sleeve. A securing member is radially movable in an opening of the outer sleeve between an unlocking position permitting axial adjustment of the cable support member in the sleeve and a locking position locking the cable support member and sleeve against relative axial movement. The securing member includes radially extending teeth engageable into a softer material of the cable support member to plastically deform the surface of the cable support member when moved to the locking position.

  • Patent number: 5803644
Abstract: A reinforced fastening point for a plastics-material casing. In order to provide a reinforcement for a fastening point which is simple to assemble and which is held automatically in the opening in the casing without further fasteners, a cylindrical opening is provided at the fastening point on the casing. The reinforcement part corresponding thereto is constructed as a frustum in that region which in the assembled state comes to rest in the region of the cylindrical opening. The smaller external diameter of this frustum is smaller than or equal to the internal diameter of the cylindrical opening. The larger external diameter of the frustum, on the other hand, has an excess dimension with respect to the internal diameter of the cylindrical opening. In this case, the excess dimension is selected to be such that it can be neutralized by resilient deformation of the reinforcement part.
