Abstract: An instrument cluster system for a vehicle includes a speedometer gauge having markings indicative of speeds of the vehicle, a pointer, and a speed warning indicator including adjacent lights arranged in position to correlate with the markings. A control unit receives inputs including a speed of the vehicle. GPS provides a location of the vehicle so that the control unit can obtain a posted speed limit of a road on which the vehicle is located. The control unit sends processed data to the cluster so that the cluster can control the lights based on the posted speed limit, such that lights correlating with speeds below the posted speed limit can be illuminated green and lights correlating with speeds above the posted speed limit can be illuminated red, thereby providing a visual warning to a driver as to whether the vehicle is operating above or below the posted speed limit.

Abstract: In an embodiment of the invention, a method for deep tag media playback is provided. The method includes activating a user interface control for a media player executing in memory of a computer and correlating the user interface control to a classification of content type for digital media. A starting frame of digital media loaded for playback in the media player is determined for the correlated classification and the digital media is indexed to the starting frame in the media player. Finally, playback of the digital media is directed in the media player beginning with the starting frame. Optionally, a proximity event can be detected for the user interface control. In response, a thumbnail image is generated based on the starting frame and the thumbnail image is displayed in proximity to the user interface control.

Abstract: A dedicated computer client application interfaces with, searches, and displays results from an online dating database. The application opens a window on the computer desktop. Search criteria entered into the application and matching profiles from the database are displayed in the window. Profiles can be selected to form matches with other members. Tools to facilitate communication between users are included. The application consumes a portion of the computer desktop and includes autoscrolling to allow a user to passively browse the window while working in other windows on the computer desktop.

Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus and method for rapidly dispensing contents retained within a container. In one embodiment, the present invention is a content container which resembles conventional beverage cans (such as, for example, soda and beer cans) and having an additional hole or orifice located substantially near or on a bottom surface of the container for dispensing the liquid contained within the container. In one preferred embodiment, the present invention comprises container having a conventional opening on a top surface adapted to provide gas pressure relief, and an additional hole located adjacent to or concurrent with a bottom surface of the container, thereby allowing the liquid contained within the container to be rapidly expelled from the container.
