  • Patent number: 4005213
Abstract: The specification discloses the preparation and use, as fungicides and nematocides, of 2,5-substituted-1,3,4-thiadiazoles having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a lower haloalkyl and R.sub.2 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon. The instant invention is directed to methods for the control of fungi and nematodes in soil and seeds and to compounds useful in such methods. In another aspect, the invention is concerned with the preparation of 2,5-substituted-1,3,4-thiadiazoles and formulation for agricultural use in which such compounds are the principal biocidal ingredient.
