  • Patent number: 4701652
Abstract: A drive device consists of at least two three-phase electric motors arranged paraxially alongside of each other, and each of the stators (6) thereof has its own winding (11). A single stack of laminations integrally serves each stator (6), in that each lamination is cut-out to serve plural stators. The winding (11) and the lay-out of stator-slots (7) and the supply-phase connection to each phase of the three-phase supply network is so selected for all motors that the magnetic-flux maxima of the same polarity in the yokes (9) of the stators (6), which maxima rotate in the direction of rotation of the motor, pass at different times through the location of minimum spacing between directly adjacent stators (6).

  • Patent number: 4645265
Abstract: A roll cutter loader is guided on a plane guide and has a machine frame with cutter rolls pulled by a plane chain. The machine frame is subdivided into two machine joint elements each with a cutter roll and roll drive assembly. The two machine joint elements are lower in structural height than the cutter rolls and are adjustably connected together relative to the floor, on the one hand via a joint and on the other hand via a setting device. In this way maneuverable, adaptable and compact construction is achieved, so that the roll cutter loader can be used to mine low mineral lodes.

  • Patent number: 4637268
Abstract: A planer drive includes a sprocket wheel for a planing chain, the sprocket wheel having a secondary chain ring, and a driveshaft has a primary chain ring. On at last two circles juxtaposed at a predetermined distance, the primary chain ring has radial holes for clutch pins, conical friction segments attached to the clutch pins forming two revolving friction rings whose outside flanks work against an annular groove of the secondary chain ring. Between the two friction rings on the primary side, the secondary chain ring has a centrally engaging friction ring of appropriate taper which works against the inner flanks of the friction rings on the secondary side. The friction ring on the secondary side is mounted so as to be axially movable so that uniform engagement, reduced wear due to low specific contact pressure and better heat dissipation are assured while emergency operating properties are maintained.

  • Patent number: 4586753
Abstract: A transfer station from a longwall chain conveyor to a drift chain conveyor have upper and lower reaches which cross alternately. The upper belt section of the longwall conveyor comprises a scraper over the upper belt section of the drift conveyor. The working face side of the longwall conveyor has a plane guide for a coal plane and a plane chain which at least at the drift-side end of the longwall conveyor is guided via guide wheels to a gob-side drive unit. These two drift-side guide wheels are arranged with a vertical spacing from each other in the lower belt section of the longwall conveyor such that they form between them a passage for the chain belt and for the tappets of the longwall conveyor attached thereto. The drift-side guide wheels are arranged so close to the drift conveyor that in its drift-side and position the coal plane can transfer the won coal directly into the drift conveyor. In all, an especially compact plane chain deflection integrated into the longwall conveyor is realized.

  • Patent number: 4571004
Abstract: To be able to minimize the size of the lifting cylinder, a control lever is braced against an abutment at the waste side, and hinged on its other end to the piston rod of the lifting cylinder, thereby forming a movable hinge axis. Consequently, in a normal position, the fixed hinge axes of the lifting cylinder and the control lever form a triangle of joints, with the common movable hinge axis therebetween at the inside, i.e. at the side of a control bracket. The control bracket is designed with a bent extension projecting below the conveyor extending toward the planer and forming a scraper edge which alos serves as a tilting axis for angularly positioning the conveyor with the planer. The adjusting device permits of a coal planer conveyor in height as it moves over a coal face with the planer on one side of the conveyor and a bracket secured to the opposite side wall.
