  • Patent number: 7566430
Abstract: Apparatus for sterilizing, pasteurizing, and/or disinfecting a pumpable or free-flowing medium includes at least one heating source, a temperature holding device which is monitored by means of a thermal sensor, and an outlet. The pressure required for the treatment is maintained within the temperature holding device by at least one unit conveying member in opposition to a resistance pressure. Two conduit branches are connected to a conduit located downstream of the temperature holding device. A restriction member and a shut-off member are disposed in each of the two conduit branches, with one conduit branch extending to the outlet while the other conduit branch leads to the feed conduit upstream from the heating source as a return conduit. • Patent number: 5433123
Abstract: A measuring and transmitting system of measuring signals for the deflection of an interior frame angle of a position gyro cardanically mounted in an exterior housing, in which the position gyro has an interior frame and an exterior frame, is provided with a gyro rotor and a permanent magnet in the gyro rotor. The permanent magnet forms a signal generator of the interior frame, and has a magnetic field generator center. A plurality of measuring coils form a signal receiver formed on the exterior frame, the measuring coils having measuring axes aligned in parallel to one another and eccentrically with respect to the magnetic field generator center. An analysis unit is connected behind the measuring coils and performs a measuring signal analysis.

  • Patent number: 5403564
Abstract: Apparatus for heating and thermal decontaminating, e.g. sterilizing, pasteurizing and/or disinfecting, pumpable or pourable material, includes a microwave unit forming a treatment chamber for receiving the material transported along a passageway and for subjecting the material to microwave radiation. Two pumps are respectively situated upstream and downstream of the treatment chamber, with a pressure sensor being arranged between the pumps for generating a a signal commensurate with the pressure in the passageway between the pumps. The signal is transmitted from the pressure sensor to a control unit which is operatively connected to both pumps.

  • Patent number: 5309529
Abstract: A bearing arrangement for a bearing seat for a radial bearing adapted to be disposed in an acceleration-proof gyroscope, on which a brief acceleration produced forces act perpendicularly to a rotational axis of the gyroscope. The bearing seat includes a cylindrical half shell, with a longitudinal center axis of the cylinder of the half shell coinciding with a rotational axis of the radial bearing, and with an open side of the half shell facing in a direction in which the acceleration forces act on the radial bearing. An elastic element urges or biases a support ring into the half shell with a preset force, with the elastic element having a spring characteristic such that the support ring and the radial bearing may be lifted out of the half shell when a predetermined acceleration is exceeded.

  • Patent number: 5112086
Abstract: A coupling device for releasably connecting a corrugated member to the coupling device, has a radially outer housing, a radially inner operating sleeve and at least one locking claw forming part of the sleeve that is axially movable within the outer housing. The locking claw is accessible through an opening in the outer housing wall and its claw engages a corrugation ridge when a corrugated member is inserted into the operating sleeve. In the locked position a flange of the operating sleeve is axially spaced from the housing, whereby the claw rests against an edge of the opening and cannot be tilted radially outwardly about its hinge. In an unlockable position the flange of the sleeve contacts the housing and the claw can clear the opening edge to permit withdrawal of a corrugated member.

  • Patent number: 4662017
Abstract: In a method for producing footwear, wherein the shaft and the shell sole of the footwear are glued together, the leather upper part of the footwear is first cut to size without the formation of a lasting fold, it is prepared and then roughened along a lower border thereof. After shaping of the tip, so as to conform to the last, the preformed shaft is stretched to measure, and a rear cap is simultaneously molded in. The shell sole, which is likewise glued, is placed on a glued border and pressed against at least the tip and heel and is also possibly sewn with a seam, after which a cover sole is placed and the shoe or footwear is completed.

  • Patent number: 4658659
Abstract: A gyroscope with a rotor which rotates about a nonrotating axis is simple its structure and has but a few movable parts because the rotor axis (2) is divided into two sections by an articulation piece (8), whereby one section (2a) is connected with the housing (11) and the other section (2b) is tiltable about the articulation piece and carries the bearing axis (13) for the rotor (5). The articulation piece (8) is arranged approximately in the center of gravity of the rotor (5). The gyroscope (10) may be constructed to have one or two degrees of freedom and it may be equipped with the measuring device necessary for its operation as a displacement gyroscope or as a rate gyroscope. For a measuring operation in which the rotor (5) is driven only for the uptake, a compensating circuit is provided with an amplifier (23), a servo-control (24), and a multiplier (25) for producing a measured signal proporational to the measured quantity independently of the r.p.m. of the rotor (5).

  • Patent number: 4491029
Abstract: The present positional gyroscope is used for stabilizing and steering a fng body, especially a secondary flying body ejected from a primary or carrier flying body which is rotating or rolling about its longitudinal or roll axis. Such gyroscopes are supposed to sense and take over the rolling position information from the gyroscope of the carrier flying body. For this purpose it is necessary that the gyroscope of the secondary flying body avoids course deviations. Hence, the gyroscope is supported in a first locked frame (3, 8) which in turn is suspended in an auxiliary rolling frame (4). A drive mechanism or motor (2) is connected to the rolling frame (4). The driving motor (2) may be switched on for rotating the auxiliary rolling frame (4) prior to activating or ejecting the secondary flying body.
