Abstract: Working screens for centrifugals, especially sugar centrifugals are made by electrodeposition of screen material on an electrically conducting matrix without filling the screen slots. Support material is then deposited on the screen material even to the extent that the screen slots are filled by the support material which is not resistant to an etchant whereas the screen material is resistant to such etchant. Thereafter the screen slots are opened by an etching step. In a modification three separate deposition steps are performed to form screen slots which open rearwardly so that the slot surface is larger on the rear of the screen than on the front of the screen.

Abstract: A conically shaped metal screen body, especially for household juice centrifugals, is made of a plain circular-sector screen foil member which is first produced. The sector member is then brought into the three-dimensional closed conical shape by forming a longitudinal seam along the radial edges. The upper end of the closed conical shape is then provided with a fitting flange for bracing and for deflecting the juice. The lower end is also provided with a fitting flange for connecting the screen body to the driving shaft and/or for securing a rasping or grating disk. The upper and lower fitting flanges of the screen body are made by non-cutting shaping from corresponding rim allowances at both radial ends of the screen foil member. Thus, the finished screen body is a single piece, integral structure.

Abstract: A shaped sieve body that is made of a perforated metal foil, which is formed to a shaped body. Said body comprises at least one foil element provided along its connecting edges with anchoring means that are embedded in plastics. The foil element has a form allowing to spread said foil element in a plane.
