  • Patent number: 10110639
Abstract: The invention concerns a telecommunication method, wherein a communication connection, initiated and controlled by the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) provided by an SIP server (16, 24), is established to and/or from a communication terminal (10, 12), as well as a communication terminal (10, 12) configured for that purpose. According to the invention, a function address in the form of an SIP protocol element, which is or may be initiated by the communication terminal (10, 12), is generated dynamically for calling up at least one function of the SIP server (16, 24) that can be assigned to the respective communication connection and is at least temporarily available, wherein the SIP protocol element serves as the target address for an SIP message to the SIP server (16, 24) to call up the function.

  • Patent number: 7852833
Abstract: There is described a system for switching from an established media path to a new media path for packets transmitted between first and second end points in a packet based network. An instruction is transmitted to the first end point instructing it to set up a new receiving channel for receiving packets transmitted from the second end point over the new media path. An instruction is transmitted to the second end point instructing it to configure a sending channel to send packets over the new media path for reception on the new receiving channel of the first end point. For a time period during the switching, the first end point monitors for packets simultaneously on both its new receiving channel and an established receiving channel configured to receive packets transmitted from the second end point over the established media path. This systems helps ensure a seamless switchover from the established to the new media paths.

  • Patent number: 7593419
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling a connection, according to which a signaling control device of the communication network triggers a first of several terminal points of the communication, which are connected via a user data channel, to close the user data channel by transmitting a first signaling message. The signaling control device also transmits a confirmation request message to a second of the terminal points of the communication, thereby triggering said second terminal point to transmit a confirmation message to the signaling control device if the user data channel has been successfully closed. If the signaling control device receives the confirmation message, the signaling control device triggers a terminal point of the communication to open at least one new user data channel by transmitting a second signaling message.

  • Patent number: 7412043
Abstract: In cases when a called participant is not registered on a packet oriented network, a call-back request made by a calling subscriber is transmitted automatically to a substitutional device which is disposed in a network and assigned to the called subscriber. Preferably, the callback request is stored in a separate database. As soon as the called subscriber is registered in the network, the callback request is transmitted to the called subscriber.
