  • Patent number: 6138845
Abstract: An automotive vehicle, in particular crane vehicle, has a chassis comprising a framework provided in the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. A slew ring is supported on the framework, and a superstructure which can be slewed relative to the chassis rests on the slew ring, in which superstructure a telescoping crane boom is provided. The vehicle comprises a 4-point-support, two points of support thereof being provided in the course of the longitudinal central axis of the vehicle and the two other points of support being provided at outrigger beams which are mounted in the region of the support of the slew ring, which can be extended in opposite directions transverse to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and swivelled transverse to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. This outrigger construction is only subject to bending in the crane operation and therefore does not have to be dimensioned with respect to torsional stresses.

  • Patent number: 5865328
Abstract: The present invention relates to a telescopic boom with at least one outer structure and at least one inner structure, each of which is designed as a hollow section with upper flange and lower flange, the upper flange having a half-basket profile with two rounded edges to which the lower flange is joined with a liner of an essentially U-shaped profile, and each structure being mounted on the adjoining structure with a front and a back bearing. To achieve a stable bearing of the structures and a great usable extension length with this boom under high force level, the invention proposes that the front bearing has a slide element in the area between the lower flanges only in the region of the curvature, and the back bearing has a separate plain bearing half liner in the area between the upper flanges only in the region of each rounded edge.

  • Patent number: 5848664
Abstract: In a process for hydrostatically driving a vehicle comprising at least two ideal axles (12) of which each has at least one drivable wheel (11), each drivable wheel (11) being driven by at least one hydraulic motor (9) connected to at least one hydraulic source (6), and the driving power being transmitted from a hydraulic motor (9) via a transmission system (10, 35) to the respective wheel (11), the vehicle is to be usable under different performance requirements and is to be produced and operated in a simple and inexpensive manner. This is achieved in that the drivable wheels (11) are initially driven with a first identical ratio of the transmission system (10, 35), while, when a first load limit is reached, the effective drive of the wheels (11) of at least one ideal axle (12) is reduced and, when a second load limit is reached, the ratio of the transmission system (10, 35) is changed, and at least the wheels (11) driven before the first load limit are equally driven.

  • Patent number: 5813552
Abstract: A telescopic boom contains a multistage hydraulic cylinder for extending and retracting the boom parts. The telescopic boom is characterized in that a first component of a supporting device is secured to at least one cylinder and in that a second component of the supporting device is secured to a least one telescopic boom part. The second component co-operates with the first component to support the hydraulic cylinder on the boom parts. The first component of the supporting device is shaped as two opposing claws and the second component is shaped as two opposing rails or rail sections. The claws grasp the rails or rail sections, and the rails or rail sections are provided on the inner wall part of the boom part.

  • Patent number: 5584645
Abstract: A telescopic boom with a multistage, lockable hydraulic cylinder is provided with a protection against lateral buckling of the hydraulic cylinder, said hydraulic cylinder being supported by the more rigid boom members (telemembers). For this purpose, a multipart supporting device is provided, one part of said supporting device being secured to at least one unit of the multistage hydraulic cylinder and the other part thereof being secured to the inner wall of the at least one telemember. The two parts of the supporting device are continuously in engagement with one another so that the desired protection against buckling of the hydraulic cylinder will be guaranteed at all positions of the boom. Furthermore, suitable measures guarantee that, starting with the cylinder unit having the largest cross-section, it is always the cylinder unit having the next smaller cross-section which, in an orderly sequence, is first fully extended, the reverse order being observed during the retraction process.

  • Patent number: 5462083
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotary passage for passing liquids and/or other media between a rotary member (1) and a stationary member (2). The rotary passage according to the invention is characterized in that the rotary member (1) and the stationary member (2) comprise hollow-cylindrical sections (59, 10, 16) respectively lamellarly interlaced in pairs, with two rotary passage stages being formed in that sliding surfaces (3, 3', 4, 4') have provided thereon a plurality of horizontal annular channels (6, 11) which extend in parallel with each other and which respectively interconnect feed lines (7,1 2) of the rotary member (1) to discharge lines (8, 13) of the stationary member (2), and that all of the annular channels (6, 11) of the two rotary passage stages have each assigned thereto upper and lower insulation means (14, 15) on the sliding surface (3, 4).

  • Patent number: 5405028
Abstract: A crane vehicle which reaches a minimum traveling speed of 62 km/h on public roads and gives the vehicle driver a range of vision with a radius of not more than 12 m comprises a vehicle frame which is substantially lowered to the level of the centers of the vehicle wheels, with at least part of the vehicle wheels being provided with hydrostatic individual wheel drives that are respectively arranged in the area of the wheel hubs. Furthermore, the crane vehicle comprises motor means for travel operation and crane operation, with said motor means being supported above the vehicle frame in a turntable which is supported on the vehicle frame in a horizontally pivotable manner. When viewed in the direction of travel, a driver's cab is mounted upstream of the motor means on the turntable, and a split longitudinal spindle which is mechanically lockable with the steering means for the vehicle wheels for travel operation is provided in the area of the driver's cab.

  • Patent number: 4295071
Abstract: The insulation requirements of a lattice bar for inhibiting glow discharges can be reduced by providing longitudinal notches in the bending portions of the flat spacing conductors in the lattice bar. The notches can be provided on one or both sides of the spacing conductors in dependence upon the degree of twist of the conductors in the lattice bar. The extent to which the notches extend across the spacing conductors can also be a function of the degree of twist.
