  • Patent number: 6138015
Abstract: The multi-cell radio system is used in a communication system with at least one exchange (PBX) that has periphery assemblies (SLMC) and/or external radio exchange units (RE 1, RE 2) for the connection of base stations (B). Each mobile terminal equipment (ME) is allocated to exactly one port of a periphery assembly and/or radio exchange unit on the basis of an identification information specific to the terminal equipment. Radio connecting paths to or, respectively, from mobile terminal equipment (ME) can be produced such that, regardless of the location of the terminal equipment, they always ensue with an auxiliary ("extension") connection via the port of the periphery assembly and/or radio exchange unit allocated to it. The periphery assemblies (SLMC) and/or radio exchange units (RE) are configured to package the signaling messages from and to the terminal equipment in user-to-user information of a digital connection.

  • Patent number: 5898924
Abstract: A method for the implementation of a connection handover initiated by a cordless terminal equipment in Detect systems with modified standard: After the signaling of the call setup request signal "Connection Hand Over Request", the mobile part also immediately transmits the user data in the newly captured channel. After reception of the "Connection HO Request" forwarded by the newly selected base station, reception in the switching node can therefore be immediately switched thereto (without a gap in the user data transmission). In the transmission direction, the switching equipment can transmit in parallel via both base stations until, for example, an acknowledgment is received from the new base station with respect to the error-free signal output of "Bearer Confirm", or until the mobile part clears down the previous connection.

  • Patent number: 5259017
Abstract: Base stations (FSn) of cordless telephones are connected via subscriber lines (TL) to a private automatic branch exchange (PABX). There are fewer base stations (FSn) than mobile sets (MT) and from each base station (FSn), a connection can be set up to any mobile set (MT). The change of a mobile set (MT) into the radio cell (FBn) of another base station (FSn) is updated via the call-forwarding and follow-me facilities of the private automatic branching exchange (PABX). For this active subscriber administration by the private automatic branch exchange (PABX), the individual identifications of the mobile sets (MT) are exchanged with the respective base stations (FSn) even if no calls are being made. As a result, a cordless subscriber can be reached, especially in the case of wide-area private automatic branch exchanges (PABX), even if he is moving out of the radio cell (FBn) of one base station (FSn) and changes into the radio cell (FBn) of another one. The base stations (FSn) form a microcellular system.
