Abstract: The inventive device for squeezing out flowable material includes an elongate tubular bag (1) containing the material, as well as an ejection device (2, 5) which has a cylindrical chamber (10) with a plunger (5) located therein and an outflow opening (9) to insert the bag therein. The bag has an opening (8) at one end surrounded by the bag (1) shoulder (12) and the sealing washer (13). For improved sealing, the sealing member (15, 17, 19, 22, 25) engages the chamber fore-part (11) surrounding the outflow opening (9). Additional parts may be provided to maintain said sealing member on the fore-part.

The delivery opening adjoins the syringe body without a constriction. As a result, a separation of the compound components in the surface region of the emerging strand is prevented. The diameter of the syringe body preferably widens toward the delivery opening.

Abstract: Applicator for a dental compound, whose elongate implement body (1, 2) is or can be connected at the front end (3) to a syringe (4) containing the dental compound and has a ram (5) for advancing a plunger contained in the syringe (4), which plunger can be pushed forward by means of a pusher rod (10) protruding out of the rear end of the implement body (1). To avoid the stick-slip effect, the ram and the pusher rod (10) are each connected to a rack (6, 9), between which racks a gearwheel/pinion pair is arranged, which brings about a gear reduction from the pusher rod to the ram.

The actuation device (10) comprises a toothed wheel which is mounted on the shaft, can be rotated by the fingertip and engages in a rack provided on the piston (6). The toothed wheel can consist of a larger grip wheel to be actuated using the finger, and a smaller pinion, cooperating with the rack, so that gearing down results.

Abstract: The invention describes a material for making temporary crowns and bridges that comprises two pastes and can be mixed in a static mixer/application in one cycle without the incorporation of bubbles, and can be easily pressed out. The polymers produced from this are aesthetically pleasing and remarkably break-resistant. Their polymerization-related shrinkage proves to be extremely low. Their radiopaqueness meets clinical requirements.

Abstract: Arrangement for operating a multi-component mixing capsule, in particular for dental purposes, by means of a vibratory mixing device, to activate the capsule and to mix the contents of the capsule. The mixing capsule contains a mixing space and a chamber to receive a foil sachet containing a liquid component. The chamber is delimited by two walls, one of which can be moved towards the other to activate the capsule, that is to empty the foil sachet in the mixing space. This takes place according to the invention by means of a first striking body, which as a result of mixing vibration is accelerated against the chamber wall.

Abstract: A batch pack for silver filings is employed in the preparation of dental amalgam in a laboratory mixing apparatus. The batch pack comprises a foil bag which can be destroyed by the mixing vibration and a briquette or tablet of silver filings. The density of the briquette of silver filings is not more than about 8 gram per cubic centimeters or a pore volume of about 20 percent of the volume of the briquette.
