    Abstract: The invention refers to a lining material for shoes, comprising two to three layers of nonwoven fabric which are spot (heat) bonded together, wherein a wear resistant ply facing towards the foot (inside of the shoe) is comprised of synthetic fibers and that ply is adhered on its the side facing away from the foot to a moisture absorbent ply which contains about 30 to 70 wt. % cellulosic fibers.
