  • Patent number: 4594075
Abstract: A process is described for spray-drying readily water-soluble dyes and fluorescent brighteners from a saturated aqueous solution which contains undissolved dye or fluorescent brightener in a ratio between dissolved and undissolved matter of 1:9 to 9:1.The free-flowing dye or brightener granulates obtained in this process are distinguished by high bulk density, abrasion resistance and dimensional stability.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: June 10, 1986
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy Corporation
    Inventor: Ernst Schenkenberger
  • Patent number: 4326982
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of fine-crystalline fluorescent brighteners of the bis-triazinylaminostilbene series in the .beta.-crystal form by mixing the water-containing fluorescent brightener filter cake with an aqueous dispersant solution at temperatures between 70.degree. and 85.degree. C. and grinding at this temperature, is provided.

  • Patent number: 4295851
Abstract: Described is a process for the production of negligibly dusty preparations by spray drying an aqueous suspension containing at least one water-soluble dye or optical brightener and optionally further additives, characterized in that a dust-binding surface active agent is added to the aqueous suspension containing at least one adhesive as e.g. sorbitol and/or to the spray-dried product.
