Abstract: There is disclosed a process for dyeing leather by the exhaust process, which comprises treating leather with an aqueous liquor which contains a formulation comprising a black anionic dye and a sulfonated carbon black. The leather dyeings obtained by this process have good allround fastness properties.

Abstract: Concentrated, aqueous preparations of 1:2 metal complex dyes which contain 10 to 30% by weight of a 1:2 metal complex dye, 3 to 25% by weight of an anionic dispersant, 1 to 15% by weight of a polyhydroxy compound and 0 to 25% by weight of a customary formulation assistant, in each case based on the total preparation, and water in an amount such that the sum of all the components is 100%, have an excellent stability, are readily pourable and can be diluted with water as desired, and are therefore particularly suitable for the preparation of dyebaths or printing pastes which are employed, in particular, for continuous dyeing or printing of textile fibrous materials of synthetic polyamide.

Abstract: Aqueous dispersion of a sulfonated metallizable dye containing(a) based on the total weight at least 10% of the sulfonated metallizable dye and(b) a sulfonated condensation product obtained by reacting an aromatic compound having at least two replaceable ring-positioned hydrogen atoms in any desired order with a compound of the formula ##STR1## in which X is a direct bond or oxygen, Hal is chlorine or bromine and n is 1 to 4, and sulfonation.

Abstract: A solid formulation comprising at least one water-soluble anionic dye, additional optional assistants and a combination of an ethoxylated stearyl diphenyloxyethyl diethylenetriamine and at least one anionic dispersant. Such formulations are distinguished in particular by very good hot water solubility.

Abstract: The solid dye preparations contain(a) 30-90 percent by weight of a water-soluble dye,(b) 1-25 percent by weight of an aliphatic aminocarboxylic acid or a salt thereof, and(c) 0-50 percent by weight of further additives.There is preferably at least 2% of anionic dispersing agent in the preparations.The preparations are particularly suitable for dyeing textile material made from cotton, polyacrylonitrile, wool or synthetic polyamide.
