  • Patent number: 7074367
Abstract: The invention concerns a thermostated block for laboratory thermostats and comprising wells at a wells side to receive and make large-area contact with the parts of vials filled with sample liquids and comprising at least two heat regulating devices contacting the thermostated block in thermally conducting manner to generate different temperatures at different sites of the thermostated block, said block being characterized in that the heat regulating devices are in large-area contact with adjoining zones of the contact side opposite the wells side of the thermostated block.

  • Publication number: 20050196873
Abstract: In a method for jointly tempering reaction samples in at least two steps in assigned, specified temperature ranges, which are repeatedly carried out consecutively as sequences of steps, in a randomly selected first step, several first groups of samples, in each case containing at least one sample are brought to temperatures, which are the same within the group and different between the groups within the first temperature range assigned to the first step, in a randomly selected step of the sequence, if the reaction product is affected by the two steps with regard to identical evaluation parameters, at east one of the first groups at least two of the samples belong to different groups are brought to temperatures, which are the same within the groups and different between the groups, within the temperature range assigned to the second step, and, if the evaluation parameters are different, at least two random samples belong to different third groups, which are brought to temperatures, which are the same within gr

  • Patent number: 6199435
Abstract: A pipetting system with a pipetting device and at least one pipette tip releasably fastenable thereon, at least one fastening element on the pipetting device, on which the pipette tip is fastened, an ejection means on the pipetting device, which has an axially movable ejection element for releasing the pipette tip from the fastening element with an axial movement of the ejection element and a drive means for driving the axial movement of the ejection element, and a pull-means gear, push-means gear or linkage gear which transmits an essentially axial drive movement of the drive means into an axial movement of the ejection element and with which the ejection element at least on releasing the pipette tip from the fastening element is axially movable over a smaller distance than the essentially axial drive movement covers and an ejection force exceeding the force for the essentially axial drive movement can be exerted onto the pipette tip.

  • Patent number: 4961350
Abstract: A fittable pipette tip consists of a vessel which is designed to fit a particularly conical fitting head of a pipette and which may be conical and has a fitting top opening and a bottom opening for receiving and discharging a pipette. A sealing portion with which the pipette tip is adapted to contact the fitting head is spaced from the top end of the pipette tip and is formed with a smooth inside seating surface and has a smaller wall thickness than other portions of the pipette tip so that the sealing portion of the pipette tip is yieldable for adaptation to the fitting head. The pipette tip is reduced in wall thickness at least in the sealing portion by a provision of recesses in the outside and inside surfaces of the wall of the pipette tip.
