  • Patent number: 4560010
Abstract: To prevent the development of clods on the soil surface when using a soil layer cultivator for the deep loosening of a field or the like, a pressure roller is provided to travel over the soil surface rearwardly of the elements effecting the deep loosening of the soil. The pressure roller is made up of several sections mounted on a common shaft with the individual roller sections located between support posts on a frame tube which posts support the loosening elements. The roller sections may be hinged individually or in groups to the frame tube. The rollers may roll freely over the soil surface or a forced drive for the roller sections can be provided.

  • Patent number: 4534432
Abstract: It is intended to form differently structured agricultural vehicles or processing units by combining a uniaxial, controllable motor basic unit (G) with corresponding implements or machine groups (M). For this purpose the motor basic unit (G) has couplings (K) of the same size which are disposed mirror-image like to its driving shaft (A) and the implements to be attached or implement parts (M) have corresponding coupling countermembers (K'). The coupling members (K and K') are designed as so-called high-speed couplings and self-coupling high-speed connections for the required electric and/or hydraulic connecting lines can be disposed within these couplings.

  • Patent number: 4375836
Abstract: Apparatus for loosening soil as it moves over the surface of a field, has a cross-beam and a linkage for connecting the cross-beam to a vehicle, such as a farm tractor, for towing the apparatus over the ground. The cross-beam extends in a direction transverse to the direction of travel and supports a drive shaft having an axis of rotation parallel to the axis of the cross-beam. The drive shaft is connected to the power output of the tractor for rotating the drive shaft as the tractor is advanced. A plurality of discs are spaced along and eccentrically mounted on the drive shaft for eccentric rotation. A swing lever is suspended from each of the discs and a loosening bit is removably carried by each swing lever. Each loosening bit has a transversely extending arrow-shaped blade at the lower end for engaging and loosening the soil. A guide rod is connected between each swing lever and the cross-beam.

  • Patent number: 4359100
Abstract: In an attachment combination for agricultural tractors used for loosening soil in a field covered with living or dead plants or crop residue, a covering hood forms an ejection channel with a motor driven flail mower positioned under the hood. A support tube is located behind the mower and it carries at least one row of loosening elements. Motor driven rotatable tools are located rearwardly of the loosening elements. The flail mower hood can discharge in a first position where the material is directed downwardly and rearwardly in front of the support tube or in a second position where the material is directed behind the loosening elements and the rotatable tools. The mower is mounted on a rearwardly open U-shaped support frame consisting of a cross beam and two laterally spaced longitudinal beams extending perpendicularly of the cross beam. A coupling piece is located on the free end of each longitudinal beam with a counterpiece clamped on the support tube.

  • Patent number: 4337834
Abstract: An implement for loosening soil arranged to be propelled by a tractor includes at least one supporting structure extending transversely of the direction of travel of the tractor and at least two agricultural tools releasably connected to the supporting structure. Additional implements whose tools are to be driven by the power take-off of the tractor through at least one universal joint shaft can be connected to the supporting structure. The supporting structure is V-shaped and is arranged inverted with respect to the soil so that a passage is formed enabling the universal joint shaft driving the tools of the additional implement to extend therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4324295
Abstract: An agricultural implement is arranged to be connected to a tractor so that it can be pulled over a field covered with organic material, such as live or dead plants or harvesting residues. The implement includes a main support frame followed by an auxiliary support frame. A flail-blade cylinder is dependently supported from the main frame for comminuting the organic material. Arms are mounted on the main frame rearwardly of the cylinder for loosening the soil. On the auxiliary support frame, a device is mounted for breaking up clods of loosened soil. A hood is positioned over the cylinder with a selectively adjustable rear part for directing the flow of the comminuted organic material thrown rearwardly by the cylinder. Other material directing or conveying members can be used in combination with the hood for facilitating the movement of the comminuted material rearwardly from the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4231431
Abstract: An agricultural machine comprising a motor driven main frame and a detachable harvesting unit. The harvesting unit includes four major parts; a forward digging unit, a screening section, a conveyor system and a receiving bin. The four major parts are specifically located with respect to the main frame.

  • Patent number: 4162606
Abstract: A mower for cutting grass, brush and the like includes a substantially U-shaped frame which is to be pivotally connected to the front end of a vehicle. The frame has a pair of arms with free ends extending in the direction of travel when the mower is in a cutting position. The frame is movable between the cutting position and a non-operating position during which the vehicle may be driven over roads without removing the mower. A rocker arm is pivotally connected to the free end of each of the arms of the U-shaped frame, and a cutter assembly, including cutter blades, is suspended from the U-shaped frame being pivotally connected between the rocker arms. The cutter assembly has a support shoe at each end to which the rocker arms are pivotally connected. The points of pivotal connection of each of the rocker arms to the free ends of the U-shaped frame are located in front (with respect to the directon of travel of the mower) of the connection of the rocker arms to the support shoes.

  • Patent number: 4078626
Abstract: In an agricultural machine, four attachment compartments are provided, a first one in the front of the machine, a second in the rear of the machine, and a third and a fourth between the first and second attachment compartments. In each compartment, a working device such as a hoeing device, a manure spreader, a plough, and the like is mounted so that a series of steps may be carried out during the movement of the agricultural machine. The machine can be used for harvesting when it is equipped with harvesting working devices, for soil treatment when it is equipped with a plough, harrow device, and other soil working devices, and can be used for other tasks by the attachment of the appropriate working devices.

  • Patent number: 3938677
Abstract: In distributing material, such as stalks, leaves and the like, by means of a tubular conveyor into a storage space, the outlet section of the conveyor is positioned within the upper end of the space and is supported so that it can be pivoted in a horizontal plane about a vertical axis. The outlet end of the conveyor is supported from a vertical column centered within the storage space so that it can be moved along a circular path about the column for the uniform distribution of the material. The outlet section of the conveyor is made up of a number of telescopically arranged sections movably supported from a guide rail which is also pivotally supported. The position of the outlet end of the conveyor relative to the center column can be varied to change the radius of the arcuate path travelled by the outlet end.
