A heated tube end (2) is upset in a die (10) by a plunger (30) so as to arch and form a pair of conical regions which become disk-shaped and are folded together to form the flange (8).

Abstract: A connection system for a deformable conduit with a support portion which is inserted within an end of the conduit. The support portion has a hollow interior and an external contour with first and second surfaces. First and second portions of the deformable conduit are outwardly displaced by the first and second surface. A clamp assembly having an end piece and a sliding ring engage the first and second portions of the displaced conduit, respectively. A pressing portion is positioned over the clamp assembly and pinches the conduit against the support portion.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for bending pipes, which preferably are deformable or bendable when heated. In this process the pipe to be bent is heated, if need be, an inside support is put in, and then the bending operation is carried out. Prior to the bending operation a pipe-like inside sleeve (3) which is expandable up to a certain degree is inserted in the pipe (1) to be Dent, and the inside sleeve (3) is filled with a pressurized medium so that it comes to rest fully against the inside wall of the pipe (1) to be bent, whereupon the bending operation takes place. The apparatus for performing the process comprises an insertable flexible pressure pipe (3) of a material that expands under pressure, the ends of this pipe being fitted with sealing parts (5, 6), the outside diameter of which is not greater than the inside diameter of the pipe (1) to be bent.

Abstract: In a pipe connection, in particular for plastic pipes and hoses (2, 9), having a support portion (6) disposed in the interior of the pipe to be connected, and a clamping means (4, 5, 21, 22) which is provided on the outside of the pipe and which comprises a sealing portion (4) and a pressure-applying portion (5), the sealing portion (4) is made from a yielding material, preferably plastic material, and the pressure-applying portion (5) comprises metal, the pressure-applying portion (5) externally surrounding the sealing portion (4).
