  • Patent number: 7192630
Abstract: A disk consists of one or more plies or layers (1, 2, 3) which lie one on the other and which are connected to one another in their edge region (10) and consequently have a compression region (20) on their circumference (4). Such a disk is provided for the application and/or absorption of liquid or semisolid substances. In this case, the compression region (20) is provided at a radial distance (B) from the circumference (4) of the disk. Consequently, the material fibers directed outward from the compression region (20) are so long that they are not rigid, but, instead, are slightly flexible.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 28, 2003
Date of Patent: March 20, 2007
    Assignee: Flawa AG
Inventors: Christoph Ziltener, Hans Heinimann, Ernst Werner, Joseph Mavely, Martin Dauner

  • Patent number: 6114331
Abstract: Use of a substance according to formula (I) including its tautomeric forms, stereoisomeric forms and salts ##STR1## for the production of a drug suppressing the immunoreaction, in particular suppressing allograft rejection.

  • Patent number: 5922713
Abstract: The invention comprises a method of effecting nitric oxide synthase inhibition, and nitric oxide level reduction by use of a composition of the structure ##STR1## wherein Z is an hydroxyl carbon at 1' of the formula CH(OH)--X; wherein X is selected from the group consisting of CH(OH)--CH3, (CH(OH)).sub.n --Y, and (CH(OH)).sub.n --CH2.sub.n --W;wherein Y is hydrogen, or lower alkyl, W is hydrogen or hydroxyl, and n is 1-20;and the 5-6 and 7-8 bonds are each either a single bond or a double bond, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof (collectively, "C1' aminobiopterin"), and compositions useful in such method.

  • Patent number: 5480699
Abstract: The pad, of round or polygonal shape, has two compressed outer surfaces, and an entirely or nearly uncompressed body. The more highly compressed the surfaces, the less permeable the pad becomes to liquids and substances having the consistency of a salve. The pads are suitable for applying and/or absorbing liquid or semi-liquid materials in cosmetics, medicine end numerous fields of technology.
