  • Publication number: 20230026449
Abstract: A wheel unit of a vehicle having a rim on which a tire is mounted, and having a hub which can rotate about an axis of rotation (T), wherein the hub includes a hub body in which a control element that is mounted such that it is displaceable relative to the hub body in the direction of the axis of rotation (T) between a first position and a second position is accommodated. A fluid channel which fluidically connects the tire to a first space formed between the control element and the hub body is configured in the rim. In the first position of the control element, a fluidic connection between the first space and a second space formed between the control element and the rim is interrupted, whereas, in the second position of the control element, a fluidic connection between the first space and the second space is established.

  • Patent number: 5423171
Abstract: A process for piecing a broken yarn on an open-end spinning device in which the fiber feed to the fiber collection surface, and which has been interrupted during stoppage of the open-end spinning device. The fiber feed is switched back on and is immediately brought to full production speed. In this process the combed-out state of the fiber tuft at the point in time of when fiber feed is switched back on is ascertained. The point in time when yarn draw off is switched back on and the speed of it are adapted to when the feeding of fibers to the fiber collection surface becoming effective. The yarn is subjected to a multi-phase acceleration. The first phase of the draw-off acceleration is adapted to the incorporation of fibers into the back-fed yarn end. At least one additional phase of the draw-off acceleration serves to reach and/or to maintain the desired fiber mass.

Abstract: A device for the feeding and opening of a fiber sliver for an open-end spinning device, having a feeder roll, a pressure roll interacting with the feeder roll and an opening roll. The device includes a tray with two guide walls guiding the fiber sliver between the pressure roll and the opening roll and laterally between themselves. The pressure roll is mounted in the feeding tray which has a supporting surface between the feeding roll and the opening roll, to support the fiber sliver and which is delimited by the guide walls. • Patent number: 4893462
Abstract: In an open-end spinning device with a spinning rotor a compressed air conduit is provided for directing an air current upon the inner surface of the spinning rotor. This compressed air conduit is connected through a stop valve to a source of compressed air. The compressed air conduit is provided with a pressure control device which can be pre-set to at least two pressure levels. The pressure control device has parallel conduits of which one conduit is provided with a pressure reduction device for the low pressure.During the preparation of the piecing operation, compressed air, at high pressure, is fed into the spinning rotor to clean said spinning rotor. Subsequently, but before the start of fiber feeding into the spinning rotor, the compressed air is reduced to a lower pressure value and is finally switched off before the yarn is fed back into the spinning rotor. The invention includes the process for restarting the open-end spinning device.

  • Patent number: 4356692
Abstract: The method and apparatus for removing irregularities in a thread being produced on a machine as the thread is traveling to a takeup device. A thread reserve having a suction applied thereto causing a loop to be formed therein which contains said irregularity. An additional pair of loops are formed in said thread, one above and one below the thread reserve. The loop formed in the end of the thread reserve is severed from the thread and the two remaining loops are inserted into a thread joining device. A thread suction extractor associated with the thread joining device pulls the end portions of the pair of loops taut permitting the joining operation to take place and, after joining of the thread, removing the separated ends. The thread reserve is provided with mechanism for maintaining the loop of thread extending therein separated and for severing and removing the portion of the loop containing the irregularity from the thread.

  • Patent number: 4356691
Abstract: A pair of draw-off rollers (10, 11) of a thread drawing-off device comprising an over-mounted pressure roller (11) which cooperates resiliently with a driven roller (10) which projects across the front of the pressure roller (11). The pressure roller (11) has at least one recess (113, 114) on its front face (110) which is dimensioned in such a way that it temporarily completely releases a thread (4) sliding along the surface of the driven roller (10) and lying adjacent to the front (110) of the pressure roller (11). By means of a device of this type, the thread (4) is drawn off, for the purposes of joining, to such an extent from the spool (31) that the thread (4) reaches the side (310) of the spool (31) which is facing away from the front (110) of the pressure roller (11) provided with recesses (113, 114). The thread is then introduced into the spinning chamber (2) and is joined.

  • Patent number: 4295857
Abstract: The invention contemplates a process for the crystalline precipitation of a chromogen from solution thereof in a solvent and within a capillary. The process involves first initiating a course of crystalline precipitation of the chromogen by initially and locally supersaturating the solution within the capillary, and thereafter evaporating the solvent at a rate and in an environment sufficient for further crystallization to proceed unimpeded by local supersaturation.

  • Patent number: 4265083
Abstract: A method and apparatus for individually piecing up yarn on an open-end spinning machine which has a spinning rotor and a rotor brake. A rotor cleaning apparatus is carried on a pivotal cover and is used for cleaning the rotor responsive to being activated. A pivotal lever which when moved relative to the cover simultaneously activates the rotor cleaning apparatus and the rotor brake causing the rotor to be cleaned as the rotor is being stopped. The yarn is pieced up when the rotor is being brought back up to running speed.

  • Patent number: 4211063
Abstract: A method and device for cleaning a rotor in an open-end spinning machine. While the rotor is running at a speed less than the normal r.p.m. a first flow of cleaning air is directed to a collecting groove of the rotor and a second flow of cleaning air is simultaneously directed to the periphery of the spinning rotor at an angle different from the first flow of air. In one embodiment, at least one of the flows of air is directed in a pulsating manner. The flows or streams of air are fed through ducts provided in an extension of a cover which extends within the rotor or is supplied to the rotor by means of a movable housing.

  • Patent number: 4184315
Abstract: An apparatus for bringing to rest the rotor of an open-end spinning apparatus which is covered by a cover. The rotor is mounted in a wedge gap formed by freely rotatably support rollers and pressed against the support rollers and driven by a tangential belt. An axial force arising from the support rollers presses the rotor against an axial stop. A lever is provided for lifting the shaft off of the support rollers and against stops for arresting the rotation of the rotor. Compressed air is applied to the rotor when the rotor is being brought to rest for maintaining the shaft of the rotor against the axial stop.
