    Abstract: In particular for the production of trenches in medium hard to hard rock, the cutting wheels of the trench wall cutter are equipped with rolling tools, whose cutting faces are parallel to the bore axis. The cleaning of the bottom of the bore and the transportation of the material to the suction point preferably takes place with the aid of brushes. Further brushes arranged on the cutting frame are used for cleaning the tools.
