  • Patent number: 7634900
Abstract: For the purpose of providing a simplified manner for the production of a joint between a transverse link and a link plate for a chain link of an energy guide chain, it is proposed that the link plate has a fixing means which is suitable for and intended for separable joining of the link plate with a transverse link. The fixing means has at least one locking means. Furthermore, at least one torsional element is provided. This is joined to the fixing means and a wall of the link plate so that it can be pivoted essentially around a longitudinal axis of the link plate. For releasing at least one transverse link, the at least one torsional element is twisted essentially around a longitudinal axis of the link plate. Through this design of a link plate according to the invention, safe and reliable joint between the link plate and a transverse link is made possible.

  • Publication number: 20080256922
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to simplify the creation of a connection between a flight (14) and a link plate for a chain link (1) of an energy guiding chain. To this end, the link plate comprises a fixing means (4) that is defined in such a way as to detachably connect the link plate to a flight. Said fixing means comprises at least one locking means (5). Furthermore, at least one torsion element (6) is provided. Said torsion element is coupled to the fixing means and to a wall of the link plate in such a way that it can be deflected essentially about a longitudinal axis of the link plate. According to the invention, the at least one torsion element is essentially twisted about a longitudinal axis of the link plate, at least in order to release a flight. The inventive embodiment of a link plate enables a secure and reliable connection to be created between the link plate and a flight.

  • Patent number: 7370465
Abstract: The Invention relates to a cover (1) for an energy conveying chain. The cover (1) has a first end region (2) and a second end region (3) with at least one elastic section (4) positioned between the first (1) and second (2) end regions. The elastic section (4) is made in such a way that the ratio of a theoretical length modification of the cover (1) to an actual length modification of the cover is less than 1.

  • Patent number: 7334388
Abstract: A link plate is proposed for forming at least one member of an energy guide chain, which has overlap regions with stops that limit the angular position of the energy guide chain. Each of the overlap regions has a central region which is surrounded by at least two regions in which some stop faces are formed. It is proposed that a first region has stop faces where these stop faces, in the case of an energy guide chain composed from link plates, determine a curvature region in a transition region between a lower trunk and upper trunk of the energy guide chain. The second region has stop faces which determine a prestressing in the energy guide chain. In addition to the two regions, the link plate may have a third region, which has at least one stop with at least one stop face, where the stop has a spring-elastic characteristic. Through the spring-elastic characteristic, damping of the movement during a pivoting process of the link plates is achieved.
