  • Publication number: 20080118593
Abstract: A device is suggested for calibrating an extruded plastic profile (1) having a shaping extrusion die (3) and having a framework (6) which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the plastic profile (1) in relation to the extrusion die (3), which has a cooling tank (5) and, between the cooling tank (5) and the extrusion die (3), a dry calibration apparatus (4) which is replaceably attached to a carrier (12) and is connectable on one hand to supply lines for a coolant liquid feed and removal and on the other hand to a partial vacuum. To obtain advantageous mounting conditions, it is suggested that the carrier (12), which is adjustable in relation to the cooling tank (5) in the longitudinal direction of the plastic profile (1), form a distributor, connected to the supply lines (16, 17), having line transitions (25) for the coolant liquid and the partial vacuum in the placement area of the dry calibration apparatus (4), which is provided with corresponding line transitions.

  • Publication number: 20070298140
Abstract: An extrusion die for extruding hollow profiles is suggested having a die head (2), which is connected to a runner part (1) and forms extrusion channels (3) for shaping a profiled strand (4), and having a runner chamber (5), which is provided between the die head (2) and the runner part (1) and runs transversely to the extrusion channels (3), which is connected around its circumference (8) to an annular channel (7) for impingement with plastic melt and from which the extrusion channels (3) of the die head (2) originate. In order to provide advantageous construction conditions, it is suggested that the runner part (1) have an inner channel (9) discharging into the runner chamber (5) inside the annular channel (7) for additional impingement of the runner chamber (5) with plastic melt.

  • Publication number: 20070256470
Abstract: A device is described for calibrating an extruded plastic profile having a support stand (2), which is assembled from hollow profiles, for a cooling and calibration unit (1) and having supply lines, which are provided in the stand (2), for the cooling and calibration unit (1). In order to provide simple construction conditions, it is suggested that at least individual hollow profiles (6, 7) of the stand (2) be implemented as supply lines having connections (9, 18) for the cooling and calibration unit.

  • Publication number: 20060280827
Abstract: An apparatus is described for calibrating an extruded plastic profile forming at least one longitudinal groove (5), comprising a calibrating body (1) receiving the profile strand (2) emerging from a shaping extrusion die for profiles, the body comprising a form nose (6) with a cooling channel (9) engaging in the longitudinal groove (5) of the profile strand (2) and extending in the direction of passage of the profile strand, and coolant bores (13, 14, 26) extending transversally to the form nose (6) and crossing its cooling channel (9).

  • Publication number: 20060156884
Abstract: An apparatus is shown for severing profile pieces of an extruded profile strand (1) moved in its longitudinal extension, comprising a carriage (3) which is movable along the profile strand (1) and comprises a severing device with a saw blade (7) and at least two clamping jaws (5, 6) for holding in a non-displaceable manner the carriage (3) on the profile strand (1), and comprising a control device (13) connected with the clamping jaws (5, 6) and the severing device, which control device triggers the clamping jaws (5, 6) and the severing device depending on a predetermined length of the profile piece. In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that the severing device is associated with a knife (8) which can be moved transversally to the longitudinal extension of the profile strand (1), and that the control device (13) comprises a selector circuit (16) for optionally severing a profile piece with the saw blade (7) or the knife (8).

  • Publication number: 20030031743
Abstract: An apparatus for cooling and calibrating and extruded plastic profile (2) is described, with a cooling tank (4) which receives a cooling liquid (12) and can be charged with a pressure below atmospheric, and with at least one calibrating device (5) arranged within the cooling tank (4) for the plastic profile (2) pulled through the cooling tank (4), with the calibrating device (5) being composed of individual parts extending in the direction of passage of the plastic profile (2). In order in to provide advantageous construction conditions it is proposed that the parts of the calibrating device (5) form calibrating elements (8) which are distributed over the circumference of the plastic profile (2) by leaving out gaps (15) for the passage of cooling liquid.

  • Publication number: 20020146477
Abstract: The invention describes an apparatus for cooling and calibrating an extruded plastic profile (2) with a cooling tank (4) receiving a cooling liquid, with calibrating elements (5) disposed within the cooling tank (4) for the plastic profile (2) subjected to the cooling liquid, and with a draw-off device (7) which is disposed downstream of the cooling tank (4) in the draw-off direction of the plastic profile (2). In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that at least one damping device (9) is provided between the inlet-sided calibrating element (5) of the cooling tank (4) and the draw-off device (7), which damping device rests at least in sections in the zone of one circumference on the plastic profile (2).

  • Publication number: 20020126568
Abstract: In order to enable the thorough mixture of a melt flow S made of plastic, and polyvinyl chloride in particular, with the lowest possible amount of damage and the adequate homogenization thereof, the melt flow S is divided into partial flows T, which partial flows T are twisted independently from one another about axes extending in the direction of flow and are thereafter joined again into a common melt flow S.

  • Publication number: 20010010159
Abstract: A device (1) for calibrating cooling of an extruded synthetic profile (P) exhibits a water tank (2) through which coolant flows by means of coolant inlet and outlet pipes (5, 6), which water tank (2) extending longitudinally in the direction of extrusion is subdivided into single cooling chambers (4) by means of calibrating apertures (3) for the synthetic profile (P) spaced at a mutual distance in series in the direction of extrusion. To ensure effective cooling a coolant inlet pipe (5) discharges into each cooling chamber (4) and the cooling chambers (4) are each attached to a coolant outlet (6) by means of an outlet opening (12, 13).
