  • Patent number: 7630817
Abstract: A method for controlling the speed of a vehicle, the method making it possible to maintain a predefined setpoint speed even on downhill grades. In the event that the actual speed of the vehicle exceeds the predefined setpoint speed by more than a first predefined speed difference, a service brake of the vehicle will be activated.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 3, 2003
Date of Patent: December 8, 2009
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH

  • Patent number: 7593801
Abstract: In a method for controlling a speed of a vehicle, when an actual speed of the vehicle exceeds a predefined setpoint speed by more than a first predefined speed difference, a service brake of the vehicle is activated. In the method, the first predefined speed difference has a value greater than zero. Also, when the actual speed exceeds the setpoint speed by a second predefined speed difference, which is smaller than the first predefined speed difference, an idle speed control can be activated and a torque request of activated ancillary components can be reduced. Further, when the actual speed exceeds the setpoint speed by a sixth predefined speed difference, which is smaller than the first predefined speed difference, an ancillary component can be activated.

  • Publication number: 20080155405
Abstract: A method for initializing an electronic system which has a base interface and several module-like plug-ins connected to it. To allow for a flexible addition and removal of plug-ins, the base interface and the plug-ins exchange information in the process of initializing the system. The plug-ins communicate what processes (priority, time pattern etc.) they contain. In addition they communicate what quantities (variables, functions, structures etc.) they require for executing the processes and what quantities they are able to provide in the context of executing the processes. On the basis of the information received, the base interface connects the individual plug-ins with one another such that the plug-ins receive appropriate references as to where they may access the required quantities while executing the processes. The references are for example pointers to a memory area or pointers to a structure in another plug-in.

  • Patent number: 7194352
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for controlling the speed of a vehicle make possible a comfortable adaptation of an incrementation or decrementation of a pregiven desired speed. The desired speed is changed by the actuation of an operator-controlled element (1). The extent of the change of the desired speed is adjusted in dependence upon at least one piece of data as to the instantaneous driving situation of the vehicle.
