  • Patent number: 4464432
Abstract: A process for manufacturing porous textile substrates impregnated with thermoplastic polymeric pastes, especially fleeces or mats, with subsequent gelling out of polymeric paste, which comprises penetrating impregnating one side of a textile substrate with an evacuated paste comprised of a vinyl polymer and/or copolymers of vinyl chloride, while effecting complete displacement of air through the paste and compactly impregnating said substrate.

  • Patent number: 4297099
Abstract: A process for producing colored synthetic resin sheet material having a unicolored or multicolored dye coating applied to one surface thereof and extending into said surface in a uniform manner involves applying a dye-containing material or composition to at least one selective portion of the surface of a synthetic resin sheet material that contains at least one reactive, crosslinkable component, where the dye-containing material is capable of migrating into a non-porous sheet formed of the synthetic resin; controlling the migration of the dye material into the sheet material to a desired depth; and then initiating crosslinking of the crosslinkable component to stop further migration of the dye-containing material.

  • Patent number: 4259408
Abstract: A method for bonding a molded component of soft polyvinyl chloride to a molded component to a polyolefin with the use of heat involves applying a layer of crosslinkable synthetic varnish resin containing an acrylic resin having hydroxyl groups to the surface of the molded component of soft polyvinyl chloride and bonding the layer and the associated soft polyvinyl chloride component to a molded component of polyolefin by flame lamination.
