    Abstract: A rotary press product such as a newspaper is printed by continuously running one or more paper webs through printing rolls, and supplements are inserted into the product while the webs are running by applying an electrostatic charge to the surface of the running web after the web has been printed, delivering a supplement to the charged surface for electrostatic adhesion thereto, folding the web with the supplement adhering thereto, and then discharging any residual electrostatic charge from the folded product.
