  • Patent number: 7013777
Abstract: The device for cutting a paper web or the like is arranged to cut in such a manner that a liquid medium is sprayed via nozzles (3). The device comprises a nozzle unit (2) that is arranged movable and comprises a nozzle (3) and a high-pressure pump (4).

  • Patent number: 6964393
Abstract: The invention relates to a method in sequential winding stations which are in a production line processing the web at successive stages. In the method the paper web issuing from a paper machine (PK) is reeled in a reel-up (KR1) around a reel spool (T1) to form a reel, the paper web is unwound in an unwind (AR) from the reel to the finishing machine (JK) for paper, and the paper web passed through the finishing machine (JK) for paper is reeled in a reel-up (KR2) around a reel spool (T2) to form a reel. At least the reel spools (T1) used in the area between the reel-up (KR1) of the paper machine (PK) and an unwind thereafter, have different dimensions, advantageously larger diameters, than the reel spools (T2) used later in the production line.

  • Patent number: 6622958
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for reeling up, in which a paper web or the like is continuously reeled on a reeling core. The formation of the paper reel is controlled at least by means of an actuator (6) of the reeling core (4), advantageously by means of a centre-drive, an actuator (3) of a primary surface drive device (2) of the paper reel, and a nip load (N1) effective between the outer perimeter of a paper reel (5) formed on the reeling core (4) and the outer perimeter of the primary surface drive device (2) of the paper reel, said nip load being produced by means of an actuator (10), a so-called nip load device. According to the invention the torque (Mrs) produced by the actuator (3) of the primary surface drive device (2) of the paper reel is selected to be smaller than the sum (&Sgr;Mi) of the torque values produced by the other actuators driving the paper reel that is being formed.

  • Patent number: 6382550
Abstract: The pressure roller reel-up for reeling of a web (W) onto a roll (R) contains a roller (1) via which the continuous web (W) entering the reel-up is arranged to wind around a reeling axle (3) arranged rotatably in a reeling position. The reel-up also comprises a load device (4) for pressing the roller (1) against a roll (R) being formed of the web around the reeling axle (3) in order to form a reeling nip (N) between the roller (1) and the roll (R). The roller (1) is inside a belt loop (2) laid against the periphery of the roll (R) within a given path length (L) after the reeling nip (N) formed between the roller (1) and the roll (R).

  • Patent number: 6354531
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for continuously reeling a paper web, especially a high-gloss magazine paper web, around a reel spool. The apparatus comprises means for guiding the paper web towards the reel spool, means for winding the paper web around the reel spool to form a paper roll, and means for positioning the paper web on the roll in different axial positions with respect to said reel spool. The means for positioning the paper web on the roll in different axial positions comprises oscillating means provided for an oscillating movement of the reel spool in cross direction of the paper web.

  • Patent number: 5779183
Abstract: A method and a device for finishing the surface layers of the machine reel (13) that is formed during reeling of the web (P). In the method; a member (20) that presses the web is brought onto the face of the reel (12) that is being completed before the reel (12) that is being completed is transferred to the reel change position. The full reel (12) is transferred to the reel change position so that the member (20) that presses the web during nip-free reeling forms a contact with the web, which contact prevents access of air between the web layers, and follows the full reel (12) during its transfer to the reel change position. During the reeling of the surface layer to be finished, the member (20) that presses the web is shifted apart from the face of the reel (12) that is being completed along such a path (D) of movement that the member (20) that presses the web maintains a contact of the desired extent with the face of the reel (12) that is being completed.
