Abstract: A method and apparatus are shown for changing a first device into a second device during a session. In the method according to the embodiments, information on the session is transmitted from the first device to the second device (102, 203, 206). The data content of such messages is hidden from public view in response to the application not having the requisite permission to issue messages in the all share public mode. A computer program and mobile terminal device for providing privacy protection of data content are also presented.

Abstract: A method, device, and software product are presented for providing a notification of lateness regarding an appointment entered in a calendar. This notification is sent from a first appointment participant to at least one other appointment participant. The notification occurs when the first appointment participant receives a first appointment reminder for the appointment entered in the calendar, and then requests a later second appointment reminder. In that event, the calendar of the first appointment participant is automatically checked to identify the at least one other appointment participant, and the notification signal is automatically transmitted to the at least one other appointment participant, indicative of the lateness. Later, the second appointment reminder is sent to the first appointment participant.

According to invention a mobile device having an ability to be locked, includes at least two separate locking modes having different locking features. The locking modes are associable to a certain feature, which is determinable in the device. The currently valid locking mode, according to which the device is locked, is determined according to the association.

Abstract: This invention describes a method for remote printing a file sent to a mobile device (e.g., a wireless electronic device, a mobile communication device or a mobile phone) using a wireless mechanism. The invention describes identifying a remote printer closest to a location of the mobile device with the required capabilities for printing the file using a printer system (e.g. a server, a network element of a wireless communication system, etc.). Another important issue resolved by the present invention is providing a required minimum level of security for the remote printing which can be requested by a user of said mobile device.

Abstract: Processing event information in a first application of a wireless communication device that also has a second application capable of establishing a communication connection to at least one data transmission network over a wireless transmission path. The event information is presented to a user in the first application and it is examined if the event information includes contact information suitable for use in the telephone application. If the contact information is found, the user is presented with a selector in connection with the event information, the activation of which selector opens up a communication connection from the telephone application to a destination indicated by the contact information.

Abstract: A data processing device, a method for printing document data from a data processing device to a printer, and a computer program product encoding a computer program of instructions for executing a computer process for printing document data from a data processing device to a printer are disclosed. In the method at least one compressed image file is defined in a definition file written in a markup language, and document data is printed into the compressed image file. The definition file and the compressed image file are transferred to a printer capable of interpreting the definition file and printing the compressed image file, whereby the document data is printed.
