    Abstract: An ophthalmic laser surgical method for treating or removing intraocular tissue anterior to the fundus while reducing the likelihood of photocoagulation damage to the fundus. Laser radiation in the infrared wavelength range is directed at the tissue to be treated or removed, the wavelength range being selected so as to minimize transmission of the laser radiation to the fundus by the ocular structures anterior to the retina.
