  • Patent number: 8144904
Abstract: Sound quality and speech comprehensibility are to be improved for hearing device wearers when watching television. Provision is made for this purpose to record acoustic signals at a recording site on a data medium. The acoustic signals are recorded simultaneously with a first microphone as a first recording. The data medium is played back on an individual playback device in an individual environment. Here the signal played back from the data medium is re-recorded as a second recording with a second microphone. The two recordings are connected to each other, subtracted in particular, and the result is used to adjust a hearing device program. It is thus possible to take into account individual acoustic environmental conditions in the hearing device program.

  • Patent number: 8024010
Abstract: Radio systems for supplying hearing apparatus in events rooms are of a more convenient design. To this end a radio transmission apparatus is provided for transmission of speech signals in an events room. It possesses a receive device for receiving at least one control signal and a switching device for switching the radio transmission apparatus on and/or off depending on the received control signal. In addition a control apparatus is provided for controlling the radio transmission device, with which speech signals are transmitted in an events room. This control apparatus possesses a detection device to detect a presence or a movement of the radio transmission device in the events room and a transmit device for transmitting a control signal to the radio transmission device depending on the detection result of the detection device. This allows a transmit device of a teacher to be switched off when they leave the classroom.

  • Patent number: 7742611
Abstract: A hearing device is to be developed for hearing device wearers who speak different national languages. For this purpose, pro-vision is made to equip a hearing device with a storage facility for storing first data which is characteristic of a first language and a processing facility for processing an input signal. At least second data, which is characteristic of a second language, can be stored in the storage facility. The input signal can thus alternatively be processed as a function of the first or the second data. By way of example, the interference noise suppression or the microphone configuration can hereby be adjusted in a language-dependent manner.

  • Publication number: 20070286429
Abstract: An apparatus for testing of a hearing device is described, which includes the following components: a housing with a test area embodied to accommodate a hearing device, with the test area including a microphone area and an earpiece area, a signal generator and a loudspeaker, to create a defined acoustic test signal in the microphone area, a microphone arranged in the earpiece area to detect an acoustic response signal emitted by the hearing device, an evaluation circuit to assess the functional state of the hearing device on the basis of the response signal, and a display device to display the functional state of the hearing device.

  • Publication number: 20070253586
Abstract: A behind-the-ear hearing device is provided for an eyeglass wearer that is equipped with a thin hearing tube (maximum 2 mm) and is nevertheless comfortable. A hearing device suitable for this purpose has a hearing device housing having a sound outlet and an eyeglass temple adapter, fastened to the hearing device housing and attachable to an eyeglass temple. The thin hearing tube leads through the eyeglass temple adapter to the sound outlet of the hearing device housing for sound transmission in an auditory canal. This enables a voluminous ear hook to be dispensed with and a thinner hearing tube used and allows the sound to be transported directly from the hearing device housing to the sound tube.

  • Publication number: 20070147643
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to further reduce the dimensions of hearing aids. Toward that end a hearing aid module is provided which can be mechanically and electrically attached by means of an electromechanical interface to a corresponding multipurpose interface of a hearing aid. At least one hearing aid control element or one display element is provided in the module. Alternatively or in addition, further electrical interfaces can also be attached to the module. This enables a very small basic hearing aid to be made available which can be extended as desired in terms of complexity and corresponding size.

  • Publication number: 20060280324
Abstract: The signal transmission between a hearing aid device and an external device is to be improved. For this purpose, a first signal transmission facility arranged on or in the hearing aid device and a second signal transmission facility which can be connected in a mechanically detachable manner to the hearing aid device is proposed, with an optical signal transmission taking place between the first signal transmission facility and the second signal transmission facility. The electrical contacts used to date can hereby be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20060023909
Abstract: The aim is for an individually shaped sound tube for connecting to a hearing aid that can be worn behind the ear to be produced by simple means. The sound tube includes a sleeve made of a plastic material surrounding a plastically ductile metal wire. When the sound tube has been individually shaped, the plastic material is treated in such a way that, post treatment, it will retain its defined shape in an elastically ductile manner. The metal wire is then removed from the sound tube.

  • Publication number: 20040240691
Abstract: In an in-the-ear hearing aid, or a hearing aid with an in-the-ear otoplastic, a first magnetic or magnetizable element is arranged in or on the housing of the hearing air or, respectively, in or on the otoplastic. This element interacts with a second magnetic or magnetizable element arranged behind the ear or, respectively, implanted in the ear, so that the force of attraction of the two magnetic or magnetizable elements provides an additional holding and fixing of the hearing aid or the otoplastic, respectively, in the ear.
