  • Publication number: 20250127513
Abstract: A ligator comprises a band deployment device with annular seats spaced apart in an axial direction, each seat being configured to receive a respective ligation band. The band deployment device has an inner part and an outer part, each being configured to provide parts of the seats, the inner and outer parts being capable of relative reciprocating movement in the axial direction between a non-deploying state and a deploying state. A foremost seat is located at a free end of the deployment device from which a foremost ligation band is deployed in response to operation of the deployment device from the non-deploying state to the deploying state. The foremost seat includes a ramp that is inclined upwardly in a forward direction towards the free end of the deployment device. The ramp has first and second portions with different inclinations. Roller-element bearings are provided between the inner and outer parts.

  • Publication number: 20240067858
Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems and methods in which aliphatic epoxy resin crosslinked polymers are used in primary cementing applications. The aliphatic epoxy resin crosslinked polymers contain a derivative of a first epoxy resin, a derivative of a second epoxy resin and a polyamine. The first epoxy resin contains bisphenol A and an aliphatic monoglycidyl ether. The second epoxy resin contains a C12-C14 alkyl glycidyl ether.

  • Patent number: 10173666
Abstract: A vehicle includes an engine and a controller. The controller starts the engine in response to a brake status before and during a change in vehicle operating mode achieving predetermined states, and expiration of a timer initiated upon completion of the change and having a duration based upon a learned mean mode-specific shift time window. The change is initiated in response to a request to change vehicle operating mode while the engine is off.

  • Patent number: 7488333
Abstract: A ligating device for applying successive elastic bands 18 to tissue 54. In one preferred embodiment, the device includes a barrel having an opening into which the tissue can be drawn and a plurality of circumferential grooves 52 around the barrel each for accommodating a respective ligating band. The grooves may be defined by ridges 24, 30 on first and second coaxial tubes 20, 22 respectively, the second tube 22 being reciprocal relative to the first tube 20 so that when the second tube 22 advances towards the free end of the barrel its ridges 30 push the bands 18 forwardly so that they ride up over the ridges 24 of the first tube 20 to each lie one groove nearer the free end, the foremost band 18a being pushed off the free end of the first tube onto the tissue. When the second tube 22 retracts away from the free end the bands 18 ride up over the ridges 30 of the second tube to remain in their advanced position.
