  • Publication number: 20180023543
Abstract: A multirotor wind turbine (1) comprising a tower structure with a main tower part (2) and at least two arms (3), each arm (3) extending away from the main tower part (2) along a direction having a horizontal component. Two or more rotors (4) are mounted on the tower structure in such a manner that each arm (3) of the tower structure carries at least one rotor (4). A gear arrangement (9) of at least one of the rotors (4) comprises a number of pulleys (10, 11, 13) and a number of belts (16, 17) interconnecting the pulleys (10, 11, 13) in order to transfer rotational movements between the pulleys (10, 11, 13), thereby transferring rotational movements from the hub (5) to a rotating shaft (14) connected to a generator (15).

  • Patent number: 8480367
Abstract: A yawing system for a wind turbine with a tower construction and a nacelle includes a stationary part associated with the tower construction, and a rotating part being associated with the nacelle. The rotating part is allowed to rotate relative to the stationary part via a gear connection. The rotating part includes a plurality of modules, each having a sub-module, the sub-modules substantially identical in size and shape. Each module is configurable to perform various functions by positioning one or more function defining elements in the corresponding sub-module. Thereby a configured module belongs to a category of modules reflecting the function of the configured module. A module belonging to a category may be replaced or reconfigured to belong to a different category of modules without altering the main design of the rotating part.

  • Patent number: 7771308
Abstract: A wind turbine (WT) is disclosed, wherein the rotor hub (1) transmit the driving torque to a planet carrier (5) of a planetary type gear transmission and a main bearing (9) attached to the supporting structure (3), such as the nacelle (N), takes up the transversal shear stresses and bending moment forces from the rotor hub (1). The ring gear (8) of the gear transmission is flexibly secured to the supporting structure, so that temporary radial displacements of the toothed inner surface of the ring gear may be allowed, whereby the radial forces between the planet gears (7) and the ring gear (8) will be substantially equalized between the planet gears (7). Alternatively or additionally, the flexibility allows for temporary angular displacements of the ring gear (8) about the axis of rotation.

  • Publication number: 20100109327
Abstract: A yawing system for a wind turbine comprising a tower construction and a nacelle. The yawing system comprises a stationary part being connectable to or forming part of a tower construction of a wind turbine, and a rotating part being connectable to a nacelle of a wind turbine. The rotating part is arranged adjacent to the stationary part in such a manner that the rotating part is allowed to rotate relatively to the stationary part via a gear connection between the stationary part and the rotating part. The rotating part comprises a plurality of modules, each comprising a sub-module, the sub-modules being at least substantially identical in size and shape. Each module is configurable to perform various functions, e.g. by positioning one or more function defining elements in the corresponding sub-module. Thereby a configured module belongs to a category of modules reflecting the function of the configured module.
