The thermal print head is placed above the axis of rotation of the rotary head, with a cylindrical platen mounted horizontally opposite the print head. A stripper pin is mounted below the platen; the pin is positioned very close to the print region of the print head. This positioning of components results in a label being printed and dispensed onto a bellow in one index of the multi-bellow rotary head. Independent direct gear drive trains are provided for the rotary head and label tape drive.

Abstract: A system and method to integrate an enterprise and an expert system in such a way that the expert system and the enterprise collaborate to both build and maintain the appropriate contact list and collect data regarding enterprise assets such as copiers, printers, and facsimile machines traditionally only available to the enterprise. Contacts by the expert system to the enterprise are minimized so that that enterprise is not unduly distracted by the important yet mundane task of collecting maintenance data. The expert system prepares and deploys an internet website having an associated datastore. An initial electronic message having a hypertext link to the expert system website is prepared by the expert system and delivered to a first enterprise contact.

Abstract: This invention teaches a system and method for managing and monitoring the purchase and maintenance of sophisticated office equipment. In the preferred embodiment, consumers, vendors, and administrators are software linked, preferably by an internet, such that the administrator can interface between the consumer and vendor to assist the consumer in reviewing available equipment from multiple vendors prior to the sale. After the sale, the administrator provides an interface between the consumer and vendors to monitor the equipment and manage vendor performance on behalf of the client.
