  • Publication number: 20060093609
Abstract: The use of (i) an antibody specific for Yersinia pestis F1-antigen, or a binding fragment thereof, or (ii) an antibody specific for Yersinia pestis V-antigen, or a binding fragment thereof, or a combination of (i) and (ii), in the production of a medicament for the treatment of infection by Yersinia pestis. It has been found that such treatments are effective therapies for Yersinia pestis infection. In addition, the combination produces a synergistic effect when used prophylactically.

  • Publication number: 20050181063
Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for administration to mucosal surfaces, which composition comprises a biologically active agent, a first amount of said agent being encapsulated within microspheres which comprise a polymer which has a molecular weight in excess of 94 kDa and a maximum diameter of 20 ?m, and a second amount of said agent being in a form which has a higher bioavailability than said first amount. The composition is particularly useful for the intra-nasal administration of vaccines in a single shot vaccination.
