  • Patent number: 6405938
Abstract: A tubular element for drawing liquid from a container is shown including a first end designed to be connected to a source of vacuum and a second end designed to be immersed in the liquid to be drawn. The tubular element is designed to pass through an orifice or an inlet conduit, made from an elastically extendable materia. The cross section of the tubular element is sized to be contiguous with the edge of the orifice or with the wall of the conduit. The tubular element also includes an annular bulge with a truncated cone shaped surface which includes a small base, which is directed towards the second end and has a diameter substantially equal to the external diameter of the said tubular element and which also includes a large base which with the external surface of the tubular element, defines a bearing surface and serves as an end stop with the conduit wall or the aperture of said container.

  • Patent number: 4981463
Abstract: A device for positioning fitments in a perforated film. The device according to the invention includes a transporting member that brings the fitments into the vicinity of a perforated film, preferably below the latter, a member for positioning the fitments perpendicular to the perforations in the film, and an engaging member for pushing the ports through the perforations of the film so that at the exit of the device the film is equipped with fitments.

  • Patent number: 4946432
Abstract: The invention consists of a device for welding and perforating a thermoplastic film folded back on itself. The device consists of a support for supporting two electrically heated welding strips and a perforation device. The perforation device is movably supported between the welding strips. The support is transversely movable with respect to the film. The welding strips consists of a non-heating portion and a heating portion. The non-heating portion is at least equal in length to the heating portion.

  • Patent number: 4909425
Abstract: A device for guiding a web of flexible film that has been folded back upon itself so as to maintain the edges of the web of film precisely positioned for subsequent sealing. The device includes a smooth support plate positioned so as to be received between two folds of the web of film with pressure being applied to hold the folds against the plate by means of rollers. The rollers are mounted to maintain the folds against the support plate and to assume different orientations relative to the direction of movement of the web.

  • Patent number: 4902269
Abstract: Device for welding a mouthpiece to a thermoplastic film comprising a frame, a support plate carried by the frame and moveable with respect to the latter, a welding head rigidly connected to the support plate, and at least one annular heating resistance carried by the welding head and having electric supply rods arranged at two diametrically opposite points. The device comprises diffusion means for diffusing a cooling gas at the vicinity of the fixation of the supply rods to the heating resistance; preferably, the cooling gas diffusion means comprise channels extending in the welding head and surrounding the supply rods. The invention also relates to the mounting of the welding device on a moveable frame and its association with a film blocking device.

  • Patent number: 4869458
Abstract: An apparatus for feeding a liquid from a reservoir is provided. A distribution duct that defines a channel extending from the reservoir is provided that is in fluid communication with a feeding duct that defines a channel. A valve seat is located between the distribution duct and the feeding duct. The channels defined by the distribution and feeding duct extend in the same plane at the valve seat. The valve seat is located at an acute angle with respect to that plane. A closing device, for regulating fluid flow from the distribution duct to the feeding duct is provided. The closing device includes a movable valve, movable in a direction that is at an acute angle to the flow if the fluid from the distribution duct to the feeding duct, for mating with the valve seat. A member is coupled to the valve for urging the valve toward the valve seat. Members are provided for adjusting the member for causing the closing device to move.
