Abstract: An information processing device includes: a storage configured to store inspection information in which a food is associated with inspection items to be inspected; and a plurality of pieces of reference value information, each of which defines a reference value to be satisfied for a corresponding inspection item; a first receiver configured to receive an input of information indicating a food; a second receiver configured to receive an input of information indicating a criterion for performing an inspection; a first extractor configured to extract the inspection items to be inspected for the food; a second extractor configured to extract a respective reference value for each of the inspection items extracted by the first extractor; and an output unit configured to output inspection target information in which the inspection items extracted by the first extractor are associated with the reference values of the inspection items extracted by the second extractor.

Abstract: Peptides having high binding activity for human interleukin-1 and represented by the following formulaH-X.sup.1 -Cys-A-B-A-B-A-Ser-X.sup.2 -Ywherein each A represents an amino acid residue selected from the group consisting of Val, Leu, Ile and Nle, independent of any other selection for A; B represents an amino acid residue selected from the group consisting of Arg, Lys, Gln, His and Ser, independent of any other selection for B; X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 each is a single bond or a peptide segment comprising 1-10 amino acid residues selected from Gly, Ala, Val, Arg, Asn, Ser, Phe, Pro, Leu, Glu, Asp, Lys, Thr, His, Tyr, Nle and Ile and Y represents a hydroxyl group or an amino group; and their salts.

Abstract: A method of leukemia or leukemoid disease treatment by administration of a vitamin D derivative with a hydroxyl group at 1.alpha.-position is disclosed. It is believed that the vitamin D derivative with a hydroxyl group at 1.alpha.-position is capable of treating cancer through redifferentiation of cancer cells and that this capability is inherent in vitamin D derivatives with a hydroxyl group at 1.alpha.-position.
