  • Publication number: 20110057498
Abstract: To achieve further weight reduction and thinning of a seat structure. A configuration in which a side frame cover 212 composed of a laminated body 1 provided with a planar member made of cloth and planar members made of synthetic resin laminated on both sides of the planar member made of cloth via adhesive agent and formed in a predetermined shape is joined to a side frame base body 211 composed of a metal member is obtained. Therefore, the thickness of the metal member used can be reduced by an amount corresponding to a strength the laminated body compensates for, which results in achievement of further weight reduction from a conventional structural member composed of only metal members that are used at the same site. Further, when an impact force is applied, the impact force can be consumed as a force that causes delamination of the laminated body from the metal member at a portion where they are joined via the adhesive agent.

  • Patent number: 7845733
Abstract: A seat cushion of a vehicle seat has a base seat whose front end is anchored to a front frame of a frame for a sitting portion, and whose rear end is connected to a rear frame of the frame for a sitting portion via helical tension springs. A supporter, supported via helical tension springs at a pair of left and right side frames of the frame for a sitting portion, is disposed at a lower side of the base seat so as to support a femoral region of a seated person. The supporter and the helical tension springs structure an auxiliary vibration system whose mass element is a femoral region of a seated person. The auxiliary vibration system is made to function as a dynamic vibration absorber with respect to up-down vibrations of a main vibration system whose mass element is an upper body of a seated person.

  • Publication number: 20100253122
Abstract: A seat structure capable of dealing with both a normal posture and a resting posture and providing sufficient relaxation in the resting posture while ensuring excellent comfortableness of an occupant. According to the present invention, a back frame 20 itself is fixed to a frame support 10 but a cushion frame 30 shifts from a first position A to a second position B according to an occupant's movement and an inclination angle of a pelvis support 31 increases accordingly. The occupant's pelvis portion and a portion lower than the pelvis portion is moved forward but a part of his or her back above his or her breast is not varied. With this structure, the same effect of the resting posture, that is, the posture in which the back frame is reclined in a conventional seat structure, can be obtained. Since the back is not tilted backward, a leg room (footrest) space in a rear seat is not limited.

  • Publication number: 20100187881
Abstract: Follow-up performance to respiratory movements is made higher than that of the prior art without obstructing movements of the pelvis of a person. A configuration is adopted that a cushioning member arrangement frame for a seat back 34, 140 and a cushioning member arrangement frame for a seat cushion are displaced according to load fluctuation to a cushioning member for a seat back 40, 150 or a cushioning member for a seat cushion 20. That is, such a configuration is adopted that the cushioning member arrangement frame for a seat back 34, 140 or the cushioning member for a seat cushion 20 not only moves according to load fluctuation but also frames themselves supporting them move via tension structure members spread over the frames (a cushioning member for a seat back and a cushioning member for a seat cushion).

  • Patent number: 7731294
Abstract: At a vehicle seat 10, a cushion material 18 is provided at a frame 14 for a sitting portion of a seat frame 12, such that a seat cushion 20 is formed. An upper cushion member (three-dimensional solid knit fabric) 86, which is a surface layer portion of the cushion material 18, is stretched at the frame 14 for the sitting portion, and is layered on a cloth spring material 18 which is a lower layer portion of the cushion material 18. When the cloth spring material 68 is pressed and flexes downward due to pushing-against force which is based on body weight of a seated person at a time of sitting on the seat cushion 20, at regions of the cloth spring material 68 which are pushed by ischial tuberosities of the seated person, tensile forces of extension coil springs 80, which are forces in the pushing direction, act, and directions of tension of the cushion material 18 are in three dimensions.

  • Publication number: 20100117411
Abstract: There are provided a bio-signal analyzer using a sensor capable of detecting, even though it is non-invasive, a more prominent bio-signal, and a seat using the bio-signal analyzer. Air cushions (10), which are sensors detecting a bio-signal in a non-invasive manner, are disposed at the positions corresponding respectively to left and right iliocostalis lumborum muscles of a person, in a substantially vertically long state along the iliocostalis lumborum muscles, with upper ends thereof being set at least at the height corresponding to a lower face of a human diaphragm. In the diaphragm, bio-signals such as heartbeats, breaths, or pulsations of aorta passing through the vicinity of the diaphragm are resonated and amplified. Further, the iliocostalis lumborum muscles are at positions where they are easily vibrated by pulsations of aorta passing through the vicinity of the lumbar region.

  • Patent number: 7631933
Abstract: A seat includes a back part frame which is elastically deformable in a direction such that right and left side part frames are brought closer to, or moved away from, each other, and a tensile structural element which is stretched between the right and left side part frames so as to configure a backrest. Further, a headrest is provided at an upper part of the back part frame. In addition, the tensile structural element is stretched over the back part frame so as to configure a backrest, and is configured such that the back part frame is deformed so that the headrest is moved forward due to a tensile force resulting from a load imparted on the backrest.

  • Patent number: 7618096
Abstract: In order to improve seating comfort and vibration absorbency, the present invention includes a front torsion bar unit 80 disposed in the front of a seat cushion, the front end of a base net 60 is connected to a supporting frame 84 of the front torsion bar unit 80, the rear end of the base net 60 is connected to a rear frame 70. Accordingly, owing to elastic force of a front torsion bar 81 of the front torsion bar unit 80 positioned in the front of the seat cushion, a sense of stroke at the time of seating is enhanced. A structure to dispose a torsion bar unit in the front as in the present invention works upon a tiny load fluctuation sensitively, and absorbency of high frequency vibration is further enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7600821
Abstract: A seat provides a band-like support for the body sides of a user so as to reduce the supporting pressure on the user's lumbar and to hold the user's upper body stably. In this seat, the center of a load to be received in regions symmetrically divided to a vertical central line of the seat are positioned outside of a back region defined by left and right angulus inferior scapulae and by the upper ends of iliac bones. Moreover, the load ratios in the individual regions are not more than 25% in the region corresponding to a region extended downward from the back region.

  • Publication number: 20090195039
Abstract: To provide A seat structure applicable to both a normal posture and a resting posture and providing a sufficiently relaxed resting posture and an excellent comfort. According to the present invention, a seat reference point adjustor for shifting a seat reference point in the resting posture anterior to a seat reference point in the normal posture is provided. With this structure, the resting posture can be taken without tilting its seat back itself backwardly. Since the seat back is not tilted backwardly, a leg room (footrest) space of a rear seat is not limited.

  • Publication number: 20090051206
Abstract: A vehicle seat allowing to improve a vibration absorption characteristic, securing a stable seating posture, having high vehicle operability, and allowing to alleviate fatigue due to long time seating. In a seat cushion of a vehicle seat, a first human body support portion having a center at a position corresponding to a substantially center between the pair of ischial tuberosities of a human body, and a second human body support portion corresponding to the vicinities of femoral bases of a human body and having a center at a position located forward at a horizontal distance of 100 mm along a longitudinally center line of the seat cushion from the first human body support portion are regarded respectively as spring elements, and static spring constants and dynamic spring constants thereof are set to a predetermined relationship. Thus, stability and vibration absorbency during static seating are improved.
