  • Patent number: 7101080
Abstract: A non-contact type hydrostatic linear guide device includes a guide unit having a pair of rail parts on the top surface thereof, and a slide unit having oil pockets in a running surface thereof. A load of the slide unit concentrates on the frame of the guide unit. The slide unit has a stepped leg structure in which projections are disposed in the under surface of a table thereof in bilateral symmetry. The projections contact the top surface of inner projections disposed on the guide unit and the outer side surfaces thereof face the inner surfaces of the wear plates disposed on the guide unit, and wear plates are placed outward in the midway of the under surfaces of the projections as the side surfaces thereof face the both side surfaces of the first recessed part and the third recessed part of the guide unit.

  • Publication number: 20060048865
Abstract: A material for use as self-lubricating sliding parts, which consists of a steel containing, by mass, from not less than 0.4% to less than 1.5% of C (carbon), 0.1 to 3.0% of Si, 0.1 to 3.0% of Mn, from inclusive zero to 0.5% of Cr, 0.05 to 3.0% of Ni, 0.3 to 2.0% of Al, 0.3 to 20% in total (Mo+W+V) of at least one element selected from the group consisting of Mo, W (tungsten) and V (vanadium), and 0.05 to 3.0% of Cu, wherein there can be observed graphite particles having an average particle size of not more than 3 ?m in a section of the metal structure of the steel. The steel is also used as piston rings. In the steel, the graphite particles observed in the structural section occupy an area rate of not less than 1% in the overall area of the structural section, and have an average particle size of not more than 3 ?m. The steel may further contain not more than 0.3% of S and/or not more than 0.01% of Ca. The steel is subjected to nitriding treatment for use.

  • Publication number: 20040093983
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of producing maraging steel, which includes producing a consumable electrode for vacuum remelting; and subjecting the consumable electrode to the vacuum remelting. The consumable electrode contains not less 5 ppm Mg. Disclosed is also a maraging steel containing, by mass %, at least, from more than zero to less than 10 ppm Mg, less than 10 ppm oxygen, and less than 15 ppm nitrogen. The steel contains also nitride inclusions having a maximum length of not more than 15 &mgr;m and oxide inclusions having a maximum length of not more than 20 &mgr;m. Regarding the oxide inclusions, a content rate of spinel form inclusions having a length of not less than 10 &mgr;m to a total content of the spinel form inclusions having a length of not less than 10 &mgr;m and alumina inclusions having a length of not less than 10 &mgr;m exceeds 0.33 (i.e. 33%).
