  • Patent number: 5131767
Abstract: A halftone printing system comprising reference level generation means for generating a reference gradiation level, decision means for comparing a gradation level input signal with the output signal from the reference level generation means and deciding if the gradation level input signal is greater than or equal to the reference gradation level output signal, count means for counting the number of output dots from the decision means and deliverying heat accumulation information on heat accumulated in a thermal head, and a pulse generator which generates pulses, corresponding to the gradation level input signal in accordance with the heat accumulation information from the count means.

  • Patent number: 5077606
Abstract: A color signal emphasizing/de-emphasizing method and apparatus are for outputting image data scanned from the target image in every pixel on a color print or a color display by means of three principle color signals. This method and apparatus are intended to obtain a desired hue variation or color saturation by emphasizing/de-emphasizing one of the three principle color signals. The three principle colors are classified into a primary color portion signal, a secondary color portion signal and tertiary color portion signal. These designated signals of color portions are respectively multiplied by color coefficients predetermined for each designated signal. Finally, a corrected color signal is obtained by summing up these multiplied signals in every principle color.

  • Patent number: 4330786
Abstract: A transistor causes a current to flow through a heat generating resistor in response to a picture signal and simultaneously, a capacitor coupled to the transistor is charged. When a charged voltage on the capacitor reaches a predetermined magnitude, the transistor stops the current to prevent the resistor from exceeding a predetermined magnitude and the capacitor begins to discharge. A plurality of resistors mentioned above are disposed in a row to form a thermally sensitive head which records a picture image on thermally sensitive paper as determined by the respective picture signals.

  • Patent number: 3989974
Abstract: A gas discharge display panel is disclosed for displaying images by selectively making luminescent cross points of main electrodes arranged to form the matrix through a discharge gap. The display includes a switching operation part which comprises auxiliary electrodes which are arranged in parallel to the main electrodes and to which a turn-on or turn-off pulse is applied and switching electrodes which cross the auxiliary electrodes to form the matrix through the discharge gap so as to select predetermined cross points of the auxiliary electrodes. The switching operation part is incorporated in the panel together with a display part comprising the main electrodes to form the matrix through the discharge gaps whereby switching circuits for switching each of the main electrodes which are complicated and expensive can be improved.
