The cell main body includes a power storage element sealed in a package member. The electrode tab is electrically connected to the power generating member and protruding outwardly from the cell main body. The flat cells are stacked on one another such that the electrode tabs are electrically connected in a stacking direction. Adjacent ones of the nipping plates in the stacking direction nip the electrode tab and a portion of the cell main body of a corresponding one of the flat cells from both opposite side surfaces of the corresponding one of the flat cells along the stacking direction.

The ceramic washer and the ceramic patch consist of alumina or zirconia. For a bolt for interposing a bus bar or a conductive line to fix the bus bar or the conductive line, a female screw portion formed in the pole is arranged in a space of a spindle.

A timing chain drivingly interconnects a crankshaft and an idler gear, whereas a camshaft driving chain drivingly interconnects the idler gear and a pair of cam sprockets. A first tensioner is mounted to a cylinder block for adjusting the tension of the timing chain, whereas a second tensioner is mounted to the sprocket chamber for adjusting the tension of the camshaft driving chain.
