Abstract: For applying and wrapping line guides to a fishing rod includes a stable bed characterized by three guide channels whereby means for bending the rod to permit marking guide positions and means for placement of and checking proper axial alignment of guides so placed can be carried out in one channel. A second channel includes means for firmly supporting the rod for rotation on its axis while a thread dispensing and tensioning assembly is movable along a third channel to supply thread to the rotating rod. Finally, the bed together with thread dispensing assembly and rotatable rod holders and the like can all be moved conjointly by moving the bed.
