Abstract: A pipeline padding vehicle for supplying earth of a fine consistency to cover and pad a pipeline disposed in a trench has a longitudinal conveyor, a vibrating screen to receive earth from the conveyor, and a padding material discharge conveyor beneath the screen to receive material therefrom mounted to pivot about a vertical axis from a position in which it is longitudinally aligned with the vehicle frame to a position transverse of the frame. A sub-frame mounts the vibrating screen and discharge conveyor on the vehicle for fore and aft swinging movement about a generally horizontal axis transverse to the longitudinal extent of the vehicle frame.
