  • Patent number: 5421149
Abstract: A harvesting machine with an upright, elongate, fingered shaker element. Shaker mounting structure including an upper support arm and a lower support arm rotatably mounts the shaker element. The support arms have vertically displaceable ends. A rotatable eccentric weight mechanism is operated to produce vertical oscillations in the shaker element accommodated by the displaceable ends of the support arms.

  • Patent number: 5341630
Abstract: A harvester for harvesting berries and the like from plants. The harvester includes a traveling frame, and a plate assembly made up of overlapping plate members. A plate member has a sheet body cut from a sheet of plastic, and a sheet body has turned-over lips bent therein at edges bounding part of the perimeter of the sheet body. An indent-detent in the sheet body serves to space overlapped portions of adjacent sheet bodies.

  • Patent number: 5181373
Abstract: A fruit harvester with first and second rows of catcher plates disposed opposite each other. Inclined reciprocating guide plates bridge the distance between lower sets of ends of the rows of plates and the upper runs of associated collector belts.

  • Patent number: 4974405
Abstract: A fruit harvester with a pair of opposed, rotatable shaker members. A power-driven oscillatable member is associated with each shaker member. Power-transmitting means including slippage means interconnects an oscillatable member and its associated shaker member.

  • Patent number: 4702065
Abstract: The collector apparatus of the instant invention is intended for use on a harvester vehicle for collecting a crop harvested from plants arranged in rows. The apparatus includes a pair of elongate continuous conveyor belts formed of pliable are resilient material, each conveyor belt having elongate inner and outer runs, the inner runs being disposed adjacent and opposite each other. The conveyor belts have faces delineated between the lateral margins of the belt that face upwardly. An elongate conveyor frame is associated with each belt for supporting the conveyor belt and includes training means for training the conveyor belts thereabout. Means ar provided for driving the conveyor belts in counter rotating paths. Attachment means are provided for attaching the conveyor frames to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4683969
Abstract: A unitary-frame, straddle-type, crop-working vehicle with independent adjustability of straddle height, track width, and tool position is described. The vehicle features two lower tool-mounting arms and lateral and fore-and-aft adjustment to a center upper tool-mounting arm. Independent height adjustment of each of the vehicle's vertical mast structures facilitates upright hillside operation. Crawler tracks are utilized for ground travel and provide desirable weight distribution during crop-working operations.

  • Patent number: 4538406
Abstract: Cane-berry harvesting apparatus transportable relative to a generally vertically disposed row of vines. Beaters are pivotally mounted on a harvester frame for swinging in arcs toward and away from a vine-receiving zone disposed within the frame. A reciprocating driver, mounted for selectable position adjustment on the frame, is connected to the beater for reciprocatively swinging the latter in a known arc in the zone. Means are included for selectively adjusting the position of the drive means relative to the frame in a manner varying the position of the beater arc within the zone. Opposing sets of beaters may be disposed in the vine-receiving zone for reciprocating in arcs which are disposed in mirror-image relationship relative to the vertical plane of the vine-receiving zone. These beaters are adjustable by adjusting the driver relative to the frame for adjusting the distance between the corresponding opposing arcs.
